Reno vs. Elko for Banquet Week

#1

Post by MrTShirt »

It is interesting that having one LPIN Awards banquet in Elko has caused quite a dust up.

Q had a poll showing 2 to 1 favoring Elko from his web site members. Maybe it is true, or maybe Q played with the numbers, given he is the administrator of the site.

The Elko banquet was a success, but not with the help of the 4 Elko houses. They only had 2-3 managers and two great courtesans in attendance, in spite of the 4 houses being within tricycle distance of the banquet location.

The houses outside Elko planned activities such as free food, a band, and a pool party.

The banquet should go where it is wanted. The 4 houses in Elko snubbed the banquet, inspite of Q's poll and Louis's comments.

The other forum's poll was of dubious value, since the votes are not verifiable. It's unknown if the poll participants were banquet attendees, the poll participants handles were not recorded for each vote, and not all banquet attendees are members of the other forum. The validity of the poll is questionable, since the participants identities were not divulged. Furthermore, only banquet attendees should have participated in the poll to obtain relevant data.

LPIN Awards and the awards committee has been assailed with innuendoes, rhetoric, false accusations, and flagrant lies on the other forum, since the awards committee would not hold July 2024 awards presentations in Elko due to the results of the controversial poll. However, the awards committee had already scheduled a Friday July 19, 2024 awards banquet in the Reno area.

Reno has been and will remain the primary banquet location, since the Annual LPIN Gathering is a Reno area event. Occasional LPIN Awards Presentations may be held elsewhere when the awards committee deems it appropriate through banquet attendee majority requests and other reliable feedback.

Yes, there were Elko Courtesans at the banquet, but neither COY winner attended. The only two Courtesan of the Year finalists at the banquet were Mustang Ranch Courtesans Ayana and Chelsea London. The Hall of Fame Inductees in attendance were Anna for Saphire Rae, Mila Tommy and Rachel Varga. Anna, Peter and Louis attended for the Mona's Ranch Rural Brothel of the Year Award. Madam Tara attended for the Mustang Ranch Brothel of the Year Award with an entourage of 10 Ladies.

The Elko banquet was a success, but it was free. Furthermore, only 47 guests actually attended, but 10 were Mustang Ranch personnel and 4 were awards committee members. Therefore, it may be difficult to sell the minimum fifty $60+ reservations to host a successful Elko banquet.

July 2023 marked the 27th Annual LPIN Gathering. Reno has been the homebase of activity, since Elko/Wells and Pahrump are at the extreme outer limits. Reno is a natural centralized location since there are many hotels, numerous shopping centers, and an abundance of restaurants.

The morning breakfast meetings are held in Sparks on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday mornings, Interested bystander hosts a private Spaghetti Dinner on Wednesday, Mustang Ranch hosts a Pool Party for Courtesan clients and Wild Horse Saloon patrons on Thursday, the Reno area LPIN Awards Banquet is hosted on Friday, and Interested bystander hosts the RSVP Annual Summer Picnic on Saturday. These events are close in proximity, so driving time is not problematic.

The 28th Annual LPIN Gathering runs Tuesday July 16 through Sunday July 21, 2024, and the Reno area LPIN 2023 Awards Banquet will be hosted on Friday July 19, 2024 from 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm.

Mila Coy was there along with almost 10 of our ladies.

We had events as well.

As I have said many times I am thankful to the committee and hope that other cities are considered.

Yes, Mona's & Inez's had purchased 10 banquet reservations.
Louis, Anna, Peter, Mila, Roxy Gold and other Mona's & Inez's personnel attended.

Courtesan of the Year winners Mila (Mona's), Roxy Gold (Inez's), Vanity Affair (Desert Club), Shanice (Mustang) and Rachel Varga (Mustang) attended, and I hope I didn't miss any of the lovely Ladies.

However, neither COY 2022 winner attended, and guests come to see the current winners receive their awards.

Yes, Mona's, Inez's, Dovetail, Desert Club and Mustang had events during the 27th Annual LPIN Gathering.

The awards committee will consider at least Reno, Elko and Pahrump venues for future awards presentations.

There has been an imprudent accusation that the LPIN Hall of Fame contest category is bogus, but that is definitely an irresponsible statement.

Jagged, firefighter and LPIN Awards presented Outstanding Courtesan Awards at the July 15, 2022 awards banquet to Courtesan Saphire Rae who tragically lost her battle against breast cancer before her time. I stated at that awards presentation ceremony, "if a LPIN Hall of Fame existed Saphire Rae would undoubtedly be Inducted"!

The awards committee discussed the idea of a LPIN Hall of Fame during the latter part of 2022, and we decided to implement it to recognize and honor Courtesans who otherwise might not receive the commendation they deserve.

The Hall of Fame category is expensive; however, if more meritorious Courtesans are recognized and honored, it's worth every penny of the cost!

Yes it was great to have an award for Saphire it was so deserved and it was very appreciated.

Sometimes ladies don’t want to attend for personal reasons and we respect that.

We had 16 purchased tickets (2 tables) full of many ladies and staff!

Important: Another forum's administrator is spreading blatantly false LPIN Awards contest information.

The following account discloses the true facts of the operation of LPIN Awards.

LPIN Awards contests are totally legitimate, and the results convey the nominee, finalist & winner choices of LPIN Awards registered voters. LPIN Awards committee members are volunteers and receive no compensation for their work. The contest is largely financed through committee member donations. Committee members who work on the contest throughout the year, register new forum members & voters, post announcements, coordinate the contest, count votes, and print certificates & banquet programs contribute twenty to one hundred plus hours of time each year. Whether committee member registered voters were eligible or excluded would not affect the legitimacy or operation of the contest. Awards committee members have been registered voters since the creation of the awards contests, and there's no valid reason for them to be excluded. Subsequently, it would be difficult to attract committee members if they weren't able to vote.

The Official Rules for LPIN 2023 Awards state, "III. a) It is hereby stipulated that Courtesan clients or brothel customers who patronize brothels or party be the persons to cast ballots in the nominating and voting rounds, since their perspective is essential for an unbiased patron's point of view. Therefore, Courtesans, brothel management and employees shall be precluded from registering to vote and casting ballots in LPIN Awards contests." Furthermore, awards committee members are Courtesan clients and brothel customers. Consequently, they are eligible to vote in the awards contests.

The awards committee members are registered voters; however, they cannot break ties or cause ties to result, since they are required to cast their ballots in the first half of the three contest rounds. If they cast a late ballot, it is rejected.

The vote count for each candidate is not public information. The awards committee does not desire to publicize which finalist finished in last place. However, it is known which finalist receives the most votes, since they are announced the winner.

There are at least three vote counters every contest year. The nomination, preliminary & final round ballots are permanently saved each contest year. The vote counters' spreadsheets are saved each year. Furthermore, registered voters' candidate selections are documented in the LPIN Awards "Updates" Administrative forum.

The Official Rules for LPIN Awards consistently contains stipulations regarding contest ties. There are preliminary round tie breaker rules for BOY, RBOY, COY and Hall of Fame. The Official Rules for LPIN 2023 Awards contains final round tie breaker rules for BOY, RBOY, and Hall of Fame. The three LPIN 2023 Awards Hall of Fame finalists who receive the most votes will be Inducted into the Hall of Fame.

There were LPIN 2022 Awards final round tie breaker rules for BOY & RBOY. The final round tie breaker rule for COY was eliminated in 2018. However, there was no LPIN 2022 Awards final round tie breaker rule for Hall of Fame. The lack of a final round tie breaker rule for COY resulted in two LPIN 2022 Awards Courtesans who tied for the most votes winning COY. The lack of a final round tie breaker rule for Hall of Fame resulted in five Courtesans being Inducted into the Hall of Fame, since three LPIN 2022 Awards Hall of Fame finalists tied for third place.

However, the only problem with multiple winners or Inductees is that it costs the awards committee more money. Furthermore, it's fantastic that more LPIN 2022 Awards Courtesans were recognized and honored. It may be deemed reprehensible for one finalist to win over another simply because their tying vote was received one second before the other. Therefore, there is no LPIN 2023 Awards final round tie breaker stipulation for COY.
