I watched 1st season & liked it. 2nd season started but drifted away from it

I finished the first two seasons of Narcos, which are about Pablo Escabar. Blew up buildings, car bombs, paid conmunist guerillas to take over the ministry of justice, practically had an army, killed thousands of police officers. I know it's dramatized fiction but it leads you to look at the real thing. Which was 100 times worse.
Season 3 is the Cali cartel that took over when Escobar was killed. They were the quiet type but made way more money.
