Let me put it like this. There are two mindsets. The first are ladies who really take this seriously and will not jump right back in and then the other side are ladies that think it's the flu and wouldn't care if it was Ebola. I'm not saying we should not open, I am saying that this is not a joke and we can't rely on taking temperatures. It is a very closed environment where social distancing is not possible so it has to be taken seriously. Casinos and bars are the same. You can't distance.

For me, this is a litmus test. I need to stop talking about this. Not because I worry that someone will get mad about what I will say. I just need a break. Actually this works out well for me. I needed a break and I need to reassess things. or pop.

When this initial shutdown is over, people will still have to be more careful than they probably realize.  But once there's a vaccine then you probably won't have to worry about it.  Unfortunately we'll have to wait quite a bit for that.

Yes it might take a while. You know what's crazy. Celebrities went crazy raising money for HIV. Something 99% preventable but they aren't doing much for this and a condom won't work. You mess with sex and people raise millions. A life threatening virus and everyone waits on pharma and govt money.

I was terrible with money when I was younger. But I carry part of that mindset with me now. Broke. All. The. Time. At least I pretend that I am. I only keep 10% of my pay as discretionary income for the week.
I think it's more a matter of self control and discipline. Some people learn it earlier than others.

Oooh, do tell! Easily the most overlooked two sentences in this whole thread. For some reason, reading this reminds me of the scene in Pulp Fiction where John Travolta inquires to Uma's character at the diner about the foot massage. Yes, much more to tell, please share.

My guess? Things will go back to the 90's. No more GFE. No kissing, no more DATY, no fluid swap of any kind. Just the simple half & half like the old days. Nothing more, nothing less. Mongers will protest and riot in the streets! Lol

Part of the reason might be that when the HIV thing hit, millions of people didn't lose their jobs at the same time.  It would be harder to ask for donations (even though some still are) when so many people can't work or pay bills.

I hate to say this (and I hope that I am wrong) but I think brothels may be the last thing to recover.  The brothel hobby has always been something that people do with discretionary money.

I don't see customers jumping right back in immediately with past due mortgages, credit card bills to pay,  and medical debt.  I also believe the brothels will have to give some deep discounts to entice customers to return (and possibly adjust their cut to accommodate the ladies returning).

The type of parties may also take another turn, ie: no kissing, ultra close contact, etc.
It's more about the journey than the destination!

The brothels are going to have to be very careful with the opening.  One outbreak will be more damaging than waiting it and losing some money before this virus dies down.

It could happen, but personally I really doubt it. Let's be real for a minute and accept the fact that despite all the hysteria and doomsday scenarios we really don't know much yet about this virus and neither do the so called experts. Initially when this all came to the public's awareness, "official" models were predicting upwards of 2 million deaths in the U.S. if no measures were taken and upwards of 250K deaths even with measures in place. Those same models have been revised multiple times and now are predicting 60K deaths which is almost the same as the number of deaths each year due to the flu.

There likely will be some ladies that will be uncomfortable with providing the same services and as it's their business and their body that is certainly their choice to make and I think we can all be understanding of that. At the same time, I'm sure some ladies will be comfortable continuing to provide a full range of services and will likely do so unless houses start placing restrictions which again I find unlikely.

We have very similar mindsets,
I tend to think every dollar has a purpose and there is no disposable income. I go by make money, save money, act like you have no money. So during these times I’m okay and if I want to go travel for a few months I’m also okay too.

The traffic over Donner on I80 is always a nightmare. Tourists from Nevada, tourists from Sacremento and other parts of CA. I'm not surprised it's a hotspot. I am sure Vail is too.

I see the Casinos are getting cabin fervor.
I suspect that we will start hearing noises from them to get the NV gov't to open up the state for May, at the latest.
The Casinos obviously have a lot of clout.

The brothels can follow on the coat tails of the Casinos.

Governor Sisolak has recently mandated more shutdowns including swimming pools, golf courses, tennis and basketball courts.

I am not sure what this means for Nevada but I suspect we will know more by the end of the month depending on the outcome of the virus.

On the subject of those living pay check to pay I thought this was interesting.

Portland Trail Blazers guard Cj McCollum estimates 1/3 of all NBA players are living pay check to pay check.

Honestly, if GFE goes, then so do I. I'm not a pump and dump monger. If I'm paying enough money for a small vacation, I want an experience. That includes all the intimate close encounters. If there needs to be a temporary hold on mouth-to-mouth kissing and other type of contact, that's understandable. I would have no problem with that. But nuru, cuddling, and non-fluid physical contact? Gotta have that with a party.

At the very least, houses can make it a requirement that you shower off before a party. Hell, maybe even the girl can supervise you and help you with those hard-to-reach areas. And we can return the favor for them! Hehe

When a vaccine comes out, that will be the end of it. Things will gradually go back to normal. As to steps we can take to keep the virus from mutating and coming back? All I have to say is be prepared for mandatory vaccinations and legal penalties for not doing so. It's coming. And it's gonna piss a lot of people off. But it's been a long time coming.

I predict that there will be an insurgence of people with a sob story trying to get a 5 star party for next to nothing. Hard times tend to bring out the choosy beggars.  :o : :)
