For those of you flying to salt lake but prefer not to rent a car or having to take a connecting flight to Elko. Salt Lake Express has a daily shuttle service to Elko. Its non stop and you can catch it at Salt Lake Airport. You do have to book in advance...however.

The shuttle from salt lake airport to Elko is $53 while the train is $58 for coach. The shuttle will get you here a little faster than the train (approx... 30 minutes sooner). To catch the train from salt lake requires a cab ride to the Amtrak station which is about a 20 minutes ride. There is only one shuttle per day from what I gather but it would drop you off at the old Red Lion (Now...Maverick casino ).
