Lunch At Mustang last Sat

Lunchtime Mustang Last Sat.

An experience!

Last Sat Sun I was in the Reno Area. Driving back from Frenley after visiting my Dad site at the veterans memorial cemetery I decided to swing by the Ranch for lunch, prior to returning that night for fun. I wanted to give it a go n get used to going back to the ranch after a while. I was starving!!

So drove n took the mustang exit!!! After driving the hills around for like 25 mins going wtf...where is it. I decided to turn on gps like a dork to discovered that its not that exit!!! After the right drive in exit it looked familiar. Note b4 i usually gone right to the brothel n never went to the bar. Just because... never the needed to.

I stood in the parking lot looking for a restaurant. Nothing..where is it?... maybe its behind the bar like a casino.

So walk in get the lowdown from the guy at the door. This is it!!! Go talk to the bartender he will hook u up. I go talk to the bartender n talked to minx who was sitting there. Was told go sit down n he will bring a menu. What? Eat here? Guys are talking to the ladies n work their mojo....but im starved... ok. Look around where to sit? Do i sit w someone...lol?

So I sit i get menu...order...club sandwich n a beer ...was absolutely amazing. Really was lots of food for the money.

I sat noticed some of the girls lookin at me, Minx, Anya, Chelsea, someone else cant rember cute has a button n had braces. Couple othe guys sittin alone drinking me sitting alone eating. What the heck they lookin at am i eating w my mouth open? Something on my chin...then noticed im sitting under a TV w the olymics going. Laughed.... finished eating... got up walk to Chealsea introduced my self. Looked like a scrub n short n my Stan Lee Marvel tshirt apologized for not inviting someone over but wpuld feel wierd talkin n eating. We laughed some talked about gettin cleaned up coming back later when i was more presentable....she is drop dead gorgeous lady n supersweet. 😍

Anyway...take aways there is no separate restaurant, no need to feel awkward, Chealsea is cute n gracious. Food was excellent n reasonable....

I definitely would go again for food too :P

Bang!

Haha. Cool story about driving around the hills off the Mustang exit. Did you see or drive by the ruins of The Old Bridge Ranch?

Did you know there was a brief time after the feds seized the Mustang and Mustang 2 that if you wanted to visit the Old Bridge, you were met by a Storey County Sheriff deputy at the bridge crossing the Truckee? He would ask what your business was being there, where you would have to admit you were going to see the ladies at the nearby brothel. :D

I was at the Mustang years ago for breakfast (and nookie) and the chef had an off-the-menu option of banana pancakes/banana French Toast (I can't remember which). Definitely worth asking for.

I was a little disappointed there wasn't a restaurant at the Mustang. Don't get me wrong, the food and experience was great. Looking at the website, you get the impression that there is a bar and a restaurant. Mrs. kept asking me, do we have to eat here with the loud music, LOL.. thought there would be a quieter place to eat :)

I often see people from the neighboring businesses eating Lunch there.
It’s just like many other bars that serve food.
Great food at a reasonable price

There is a restaurant. You walk in and the tables are right there and then the bar. It's a restaurant / bar. It's not like Chili's.

I have only been to the Mustang twice and both times enjoyed selections from their menu. Last time for a late breakfast, I ordered a side of biscuits and gravy, which consisted of four half biscuits and about a cup of gravy. So good and filling. Knowing the portion size ahead of time prevented me from wasting great food.

Yeah the music gets a little loud especially if you are trying to eat. Maybe they need to set up a outdoor dining area, or provide you with some of the those disposable ear plug things.😃
