Getting my geek on

My daughter makes fun of me because now, I’m collecting the Super Mario Lego sets. I recently grabbed Bowser’s Castle as it was only available on Amazon through third party sellers, being flipped at twice the price. Fortunately, I found one at Target. Crisis averted.

But anyone who knows me can attest I’m a big time video game nerd. Always have been, and that will never change.

Did you ever have the first Pong console? It wasn't like the current consoles where you have a generic console that can accept any plug-in cartridge for that system, and so can play multiple games. This piece of hardware didn't accept any cartridges - it was literally hardwired to only be used to play Pong!

So it was very limited, but at least it could never be used to play E.T. or Superman 64.

Nope. My first gaming experience was Pac-Man in an arcade table cabinet. I also had an Atari 2600. I kinda miss that sometimes.
