FYI, EastCoastEnglishman did have 42 handles on the other forum; however, only 25 of those handles were registered in the CWMC 2014 Awards contest. Those handles were Barbie Gstring, Beautiful Michelle, Breaker Breaker, Bunneys, Charlotteluv, ChenChen, CorporalBk, EastcoastEnglishman, Enlisted Man, FoxyLady, FrancesJVS, HemR, Joe, KonKalin, Lilli Addison, o-k-o, PacMan, Park Ranger, Real FF XXX, SapSap, sasis, Six Steps, Staverton, The Brothel Insider, and Tris-ccel.
The awards committee was suspicious of ECE having multiple handles due to posting on the other forum and the large number of new 2014 contest voters, so Oddball programmed the final round ballot to collect IP addresses of submitted ballots. It was discovered that 24 of the aforementioned handles submitted ballots from IP addresses in the NYC area that closely matched ECE's; furthermore, due to the handles' posting on the other forum, those new voters couldn't be verified, and the fact that the email addresses were fictitious it was concluded they were all ECE's.
The awards committee would have aborted the 2014 contest if ECE's votes had changed the results; however, ECE voted for several different candidates in all categories so he didn't control the contest. The committee compared the vote count with and without ECE's ballots, and Belle, Mustang Ranch and Dovetail Ranch won in either case. Therefore, the 2014 contest results were legitimate.
The awards committee still verifies voters and checks IP addresses to make certain that clients register to vote only once.
ECE's actions proved to the awards committee that the honor system simply doesn't work.
