My first was a 1948 Chevy pickup truck. Paid the guy $35 and drove it home.  The truck was about seven different colors - the first thing I did was paint it @@

Volvo P-1800...  Drove it for 3 years until the floorboards rotted out.  (Kept it for 20 more years with the intention of resoring it... never happened)

My first " car " was a 1964 Fairlane Ford 2 door hard top with 289 and a 4 speed.  My grandmother bought it for me for graduation . ( $2100.00 )

My dad owned a trucking co. and my first was a 1950 ford truck .  I hauled cattle 4 nights a week and still went too school. ( No drivers lic. )
If you don't like the way I'm livin then leave this long haired country boy alone.

I learned to drive on my dad's '64 Chevy Impala when I was around 14 yrs old, so I wasn't of legal driving age yet ...LOL.  He taught me to drive during a visit to our family friend's farm in southern Illinois at the time, so I was driving around on private property.

Later when I was legal (16 yrs old) and taking drivers ed in high school, my dad taught me to drive his Datsun 240Z (the predecessor to the Nissan Z car) which had a manual trans.

The first car that I owned was a 1970 Mustang that my dad refurbished and gave to me, after I graduated high school so I could commute to college.

My parents let me drive their 1996 Dodge Intrepid growing up.

The first car I bought was a used 2001 BMW 525i for $1,000. I ran that thing into the ground.

I drove my dad's 97 Chevy S10 until I went through a set of tires in the first 6 six months.

First car I bought was a pink 1967 Mustang but had to sell it after a year and a half as my part time job in high school was not enough to pay for all the things that kept going wrong. Really wish I still had it though because now I could have restored it. Oh well.

Gas leaked from the fuel line onto the distributor and ignited when it sparked. I heard a loud thud behind me and I thought it was some kids I had passed playing with a big playground ball messing with me, throwing the ball at my car or something. I looked in my rear view a few seconds later and saw nothing but smoke! I pulled over in front of a house, ran to their hose and used it to put the fire out. The owners of the house called the fire department and they showed up and sprayed more water on the fire I had already put out. I guess they had to do something since they came out there...

I’ve had 3 Mustangs over the years, the 69 then two different 65’s
I’ve always loved Mustangs as long as they look like Mustangs!
