Wifi / cell reception

I know this may sound like an odd question, but I'll be visiting soon and it will be a working trip.  I'm planning on visiting MR first and see where things go from there.  Does the bar area have wifi and would it be out of place to sit there with a laptop, have a few drinks/food and work before partying?

Failing that, how is the cell reception there?  I can always hotspot it if needed.

You aren’t allowed to use laptops or cell phones in the Mustang Bar.


It’s a privacy issue I’m sure there are other reasons but anything with a camera is a big no go

Makes sense, didn't think about the camera.  Is there any place there where I can work or should I make other arrangements?

Not that I can think of, Maybe Rachel can come up with an idea. There’s the Old Mustang Across the parking lot. I’m told the WiFi is unreliable but I’ve always got Cell service out there. If you are staying there that may work for you but if you aren’t probably not since you have to have a code to get in etc. Maybe contact Tara and see what she can do for you

All 4 of Hof's brothels in Carson City/Moundhouse have wifi. I bring out my laptop to the bar and parlor often and if you hang around you will often see ladies doing the same or with their smartphones working. The way Hof pushes internet activity for the ladies they have to work on it a lot. At Mustang I think a lot depends on who your cell phone carrier is as far as how good your reception is.

YOU GIVE ONE of The ladies at MR Rachel for example 200 for 40 Minutes in her room so you can get some work done on your laptop.


If you want to live dangerous give the lady another 100 to get stark naked and dance in front of you and see if you get any fricken work done at all!??


I give Rachel about 90 seconds after she gets naked before you say F this shit. I will work over at LRN or BR and Rachel or whomever's room you try this in has agreed to put that 300 towards a regular party and walks your ass back to the negotiation room to figure out the additional cost on a regular party and the DC.??


Option B at MR if you really insist bon trying to work at MR sit outside on the steps and have the bar tender bring you out a beer every so often.


But I give that about 5 minutes before you close the laptop and head inside to check out the action.?Good luck!

What Wuss! You aren't even going to try my plan, to see if you hold out n a ladies room for at least 2 minutes before closing the laptop.??


??? Just messing with you 9er is right better to work first. Hopefully you will be motivated to get your work done quickly and efficiently at the hotel.  So you can head out sooner rather then later once you get into the area.?

Even if Jennifer or Tara were to OK you using your laptop in the  bar.  You wouldn't be able to hold out long. Truth be told it can get kinda loud in the bar with the loud music playing. Only time its off is during lineups. Add in the half naked women wondering around the bar.


You would probably get more work done following my off the wall plan even with one lady trying to distract you.?

The Mustang has Wifi but my lap top wouldn't pick it up in the old Mustang building where my room was.  I have a AT&T hot spot that worked well in my room.  Some say they can use the M. Wifi in the bar of the Old Mustang building ( the hotel building sort of ) .  It is ok to use it there just not in the Wild Horse building.  Sprint hot spot is useless as I tried that in the past.

Anyway, I did visit, got a suite for the night and took care of work there.  @SixT9er, you were right, the wifi wouldn't work for me and I let Tara know that it was sketchy there, but my verizon hotspot made do.[/size]
