I'll answer question number 2.

                                                    NNNNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

The Brothels of Elko (and county) must surely be the reason the City exists. Forget Mining. Forget Agriculture. Forget Casinos. The "Luvshaks" Rock and Rule!!!

(well, maybe I overdid it a little here, however You get the idea)

Hey guys,

I have been monitoring how our customers contribute to the Economy and had a few questions that I hope many will respond to!

1. When you go to elko for a few hours or a night or two what is your daily spend in elko outside of brothels?
(From A to Z gambling gas hotels if you stay over food drinks et all.)

2. Would you have stopped in elko if we had no brothels?
For gas or just skip it all together?

3.  Besides brothels what else do you do in elko for fun?
(Gamble hiking golf etc.)
4. Any other helpful info would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Louis

I have been traveling to Elko for two decades now. Brothels are part of the stop but the main reason we go is to sled the Ruby Mountains. On average two to four times a winter, two day stays.  Men in our group can range from 2-5 on average.

Per person, money spent per day in Elko broken down without including $$$ spent at the huts.

1. Lodging- $50

2. Fuel- $50

3. Food and drink- $60

4. Parts and gear- $40 per trip

$180-200 per day per person.

If I were to travel to Elko, it would specifically be to visit the places such as Inez's and Monas.
Therefore, the expenses that I would spend on food, lodging, gas and any other attractions or souvenirs would not have otherwise have been purchased because i would not have come out without the Brothels. However, of course, this money spent in the Brothels and everywhere else in town has a multiplier effect on some of it that stays local, economically speaking, so that it puts money into the local economy to the extent that it stays in Elko.

2 nights at the Red Lion (I usually get 2 free) so about $160, All meals at Red Lion or Gold Dust for 4 days. I do gamble and have actually won on most trips. I have to buy gas at least once while I am there.

Inez and monas. I would also calculate the taxes collected. Hotel tax, sales tax, etc.

There is also the income multiplier. When someone spends $100 in the local economy it's not just $100. Part of that money is used to pay the maid. The maid uses part of that money to by food, housing, leisure. Those people do the same. I tried searching for the ratio for elko, NV, or USA but it was taking to long.

I used to drive through once a year but rarely stayed the night. I would always stop at the casinos at Stockmen's and Red Lion. What I spend there varies, but usually at least $100 in each.

BUT, now that I have decided to return to brothels and stay in town for a while - in August I spent two nights at Stockmen's, had meals there and at Red Lion. Spent at least $100 at each of their casinos. Bought gas at a local gas station. Bought Viagra at the Elko CVS!

I spent at least $300 on non-brothel expenses. Then I went to Inez's, twice over two days and had a great time, so great, in fact, I will be back in early November. Can I qualify for the Monger rate?

BTW, I watched the video of your "interrogation" by the city council. They should feel lucky to have you there. Instead they seemed to make you look as if you were, yourself, guilty of something and should have to prove your innocence. A guy is making an honest living, but because some people look down their noses at the business in order to make themselves seem superior, you have to defend yourself.

I think you're doing a great job marketing your businesses. I'll be there in early November. I'll make sure I spend money - which is something I seem to have no trouble doing!

1. I'll go off my Labor Day trip
Hotel-75/day x 3 days and taxes=254
Golf-1 round with cart and rental clubs=85
Food-30-40/day x 3 days=90-120
Gambling-if I lose I stop at 100/day=up to 300(I actually won about 160 this trip)
Gas-only filled up once in Elko=40
2. I would not even know of Elko without the brothels. The forums are what led me there.
3. I golf often so I typical play rounds everywhere I travel.
4. You seem to be doing all the right things just stay the course and keep up the great work.
