Ladies soliciting gifts

I have no problem with Ladies having wish lists. It’s actually helpful when trying to figure out a gift to give a Lady.

Something that bothers me is Ladies (I see this on Twitter all the time) asking for someone to buy them various things just because. This really turns me off, wondering if I’m the only one this bothers. It seems like begging to me.

If I’m going to give a Lady something it’s going to be because I want to, not because they are begging for it. The begging flat out turns me off.

Have no problem with a lady soliciting for gifts or the hole wish list thing.  I don't look at it as begging .
But I do have a problem if they get all mad if you don't get them a gift .
I would find it helpful if I am going to get a lady a gift because I would know what she wants.
But since I don't use the twitter I guess I would not know if she had a wish list or not.

Of course it is a turn off. But, we have to accept that many young people in today's millennial generation have no shame. It is not uncommon for them to ask for things, rather than work for them and also to turn to social media to blab to everyone their sob story, usually ending with a solicitation for donations. Hell, I have even seen it on here, a lady asking for people to donate money to help her "pay her bills." SMH

Wildfire,
As I said I have no problem with wishlists and have found them helpful

Sled,
I wish I could just blame it on millennials but it’s not just that age group

I have no problem giving reasonable gifts. The ladies I’ve given gifts to never asked for them or sent me a link to their wishlists.

Wishlists are fine, as long as what the lady is asking for is reasonable. If its like a book or something small I don’t mind. I have seen some wishlists asking for furniture and entire sets for a living room. When the item on the wishlist is more than I pay for in a party, it helps me a lot. I’m outta there and won’t try to ever waste the lady’s time and meet her. Hasta la vista!

If all she had were high priced items I might wonder but if she has a range then I don’t see an issue, it is a “Wish List” after all and who knows when a high roller might decide to indulge her?

I should also throw in that a gift is a gift. No strings attached from me. I give it to the lady after we’ve negotiated. I don’t expect anything in return.

I mean there’s not much to my gifts. The last one I gave was because it was her favorite candy. How much could a $10 gift for 2 half pound peanut butter cups help me out during negotiations?  ;D

I agree! I give gifts because I want to without any expectation. I give it from my heart. She gives me more than I ever deserve and she has always, long before I ever have her a gift.

I personally wouldn’t want a gift I had to beg for. I’d only want something that was freely given and as delightful for the other person to give as for me to receive :)   Dignity is key.
