I frankly don't see a reason to vote at all if you haven't spent time with any of the nominees. Who is to say one is "better" than the other when you have no personal knowledge of them and it would be unfair to select one person randomly. As far as houses go, I think there are one too many awards with as few of houses there are anymore and it waters down the process. The same houses win practically every year, which I have no doubt is deserved, but makes the award and vote less meaningful imho. I voted in the earlier rounds, my picks of ladies didn't advance, and good luck to those who made it further, that's it.

I understand where you are coming from. I’ve been fortunate that Finalist over the past few years are Ladies I have partied with at one time or another. This year is no exception, I’ve partied with two of the finalists and have met and spoken with the other 3.
I would prefer that I partied with a finalist that I wanted to vote for but there are other things IMO that you can lead you to cast your vote for someone whom you haven’t partied with. If the finalist I did party with that I voted for wasn’t there I would have voted for one of the Ladies that I had not partied with instead of the one I did. Not because it was a bad party but because I think a couple of the other Ladies are more deserving than the one I partied with.
In the end you have to go with what works for you as you have chosen to do
