I wonder if there is a basis for a court case to force the federal gov't to recognize sex workers?

Many businesses that use independent contractors had to close and those contracters have no work. This is not the state attacking sex workers. Everyone is hurting and this will not change anything.

I take major offense to Imogen stating.

"“I’m not going to do camming, I’m not going to do porn. The type of clients I like to attract are classy people. I’m not a slut,” she said. “That’s not an option for me."

So all camgirls and women in porn are sluts? They are sex workers and do not deserve that kind of treatment. How can you say a camgirl is s slut? She's not having sex with anyone. Porn women have sex just like we do. So in essence if they are sluts then so are we right?  Sometimes it's better to not say anything at all.

I do agree with Alice that those groups wanting to help women "transition"  would be Jesus this and Jesus.

Rachel, asking a very serious question of you. It seems unlikely anything will reopen before the end of April, if then. Would this lag and the potential for a slow recovery to normal cause some ladies to simply drop out of the brothel world and go to other endeavors?

I think that we will see some ladies not return. Mostly newer ones that do not have regulars.

I agree with you.  Not only is she putting down other sex workers she is saying that the clients of those other sex workers are not classy people.  What are the customers of brothels going to do with the shut down. Turn to porn and cam girls of course. Does that make them less classy?

I have to agree, this was way out of line! I couldn’t believe she actually said that!
Maybe slut means something different where she comes from??

The meaning in some words and gestures in one country can be quite different elsewhere.

Hahahah slut means slut. They speak English there, it is the national language. Anyways we have beat this one to death. Let's talk about something else in the article. It's okay to not like what she said but I don't want it to turn into any insults.

I have a feeling this is going to go bad so let's just move on to something else. Ok?
