Close Or Open?

Am I alone is sensing that it is the guys who are retired with retirement funds, or guys that are working, or guys that have unemployment insurance that want to keep everything closed?

Am I alone in sensing the girls and staff that have no job and no funds and plenty of expenses anxious to open up things?

I am out and about all over the U.S. working, and can't wait for everything to open back up again.

If you live in Georgia, as of today you have more options of open business since the state just reopened.  But some business owners like massage therapists and restaurants are not opening yet (see article).

So to answer your question I'm sure there are some people that are thinking the same and different as you.

I've noticed that those who are preaching to keep things closed are those with an income.

Am anxious to open things up. It's so unsure what the reprocussions are and the second wave of infections.

What are you thoughts on it?

While Covid-19 isn't as serious as the Spanish flue was, it's a good example. Government relaxed restrictions as World War 1's ending was imminent. People flocked out in the streets to celebrate. Caused a massive second wave.

I’m anxious for the new normal, not a premature attempt to return to normal. :)

I am retired and feel very strongly that things should be opened up and people should be allowed to make their own choices.
Opinions regarding this issue seem to break along some ideological line that I don’t understand. Reminds me of the gun debate.
I want to be respectful of others but can’t help but wonder what the long term damage from this shut down will be??

The U.S. economy can't tolerate business closure much longer.
I'm in favor of opening businesses on a limited basis on May 1, and gradually increase to maximum on June 1 or July 1 depending on how it works out.
Of course people should wash hands frequently, wear masks, maintain a distance from other people and continue to practice sanitary measures.
The virus may not be as detrimental during the hot summer months although it has to be proven.
People who currently have health concerns or deficient immune systems should probably continue to isolate themselves at home.
I'm over 72 so I'm higher risk I suppose, but nobody lives forever.  I don't want to be forced to hide in my house the remainder of this year.
The temperature in many areas of California has been around 80 degrees this week, and people aren't staying home anyway. Therefore, the government may as well open businesses while practicing precautionary measures.  It was announced that many BLM locations are open to the public too.
Many people that have died from the coronavirus may have had other medical issues, were senior citizens, neglected to seek immediate medical attention or weren't practicing all the safeguards.  Now that the seriousness of the virus is known, people shouldn't be as complacent concerning safeguards or symptoms of the virus.
Of course social distancing will have to be ignored in a brothel for a better party. ;)

Good to know I’m not alone in this line of thinking. :)

Me too!  It's nice to see that I'm not the only one to share that view.

I don't think we'll ever go back to the old normal, but I'm excited to see the "new normal" and the fun it brings.  Just thinking about it is intriguing!  I can't wait to explore all the new "possibilities."  ;)

Same here. Although I just want to get closer than 6 feet and hug a female then get naked for someone other then a doctor. I will try and obey the speed limit on my 1500 mile drive to Nevada.
