What are you getting out of this Lifestyle (I don’t consider it a hobby & to me that’s degrading to the Ladies)?
Are you getting what you want, what you expected?
Are you still looking for more?
Do you have an idea when you’ll no longer participate?

For those that call it a 'hobby', I just look at it as return customers that support LPIN. I don't personally call it that, but to each their own.

For me, it's to fill a void, to have that woman's touch. I cherish that, if even for an hour. Also, to fill that instinct, and fill it with no head games.

Looking for more? I'm looking for more money to fuck more  ;D

I've come close a couple times with stopping my participation. I'm hoping I'll not have to, but those of us on a fixed income sometimes have to think about it.

Yes to fill a void, me too.  Seeing a courtesan is a poor substitute for what I used to have but it beats hell out of sitting at home watching TV.

The first time that I heard the term "hobby" was way back when I first discovered LPIN and the early LPIN discussion forums.  That was the Flyfisher, Bashful, Sportsman, Curious, et al. era of LPIN ...LOL.  I may have used the same term for awhile, but LPIN has integrated itself as part of my lifestyle over time, so it's not really a hobby anymore.

Anywho, unless I meet a lady in my civvie life, fall in love, and decided to get married, LPIN will continue to be part of my lifestyle.  I don't have a crystal ball, so I really don't know what the future has in store.  Although as long as I have my health, am able to travel, and I don't go broke ...LOL ...I'll continue to visit the brothels, since I like spending time with the ladies when I'm vacationing in Nevada.  8)

I'm not going to answer all of these as it would get a little more personal than I'm comfortable sharing, but I will say that LPIN and especially a select few ladies have provided me an opportunity to explore my sexuality in ways that I never would have been able to without them and I'm thankful for that.

I've certainly got more out of it than I ever expected for a number of reasons.

Yup ... we are happy with what we are getting and it's pretty much what we expected!
We have no idea when we'll be done and plan to keep going out and finding new adventures with new experiences!

NOTE: the term "Lifestyle" is kind of taken already.  The swingers have claimed it, and if you're around a different crowed and mention how you like the lifestyle, you may get a wife or two offered to you!

That is very true. It is a very common term among swingers and the alternative community in general. It's better to call it the brothel life. :)

Well, to me it IS a hobby, nothing more. (or less)

Yeah, I am getting what I need and want out of it.

Nope I am NOT looking for any more out of it

"End game"?    A little less each year, until the time will come that I just cant (mentally) justify it any more...  (Still a ways away though!)

I have to keep that in mind if/when I'm in a mixed crowd ...LOL

Sex is great. Feeling like you are making a connection with someone no matter how rife with artifice, it’s still special. Just like going to a theme park - you know it’s a fun relief even if it is temporary.
When I want a relationship, I try match.com.

I don't really know if I'll ever quit LPIN...  I just have too much fun!  There is no bigger adrenalin rush for me and to be real honest, I love the "hunt" too.  After years and years, I'm still learning new things about myself.

I don't see myself stopping this. I love what I do.  Last resort I would become a cougar for those young boys that want a mommy experience. Lol

I have an end game and I am getting whar I want out of this. I have a plan on what I want to do in LPIN now and after I leave.

The industry is stagnant and will not survive as it is within ten years. It certainly will not grow if things don't change.

I feel invested in lpin. If I didn't then this site would not exist. So I have plans that go beyond this forum.

This is for Rachel. Serious question.

You wrote, "The industry is stagnant and will not survive as it is within ten years. It certainly will not grow if things don't change."

I'm loathe to generalize from my specific examples to something broader, but here goes: How is it surviving even today?

I have frequented my share of Moundhouse houses in the last few years. As often as not, I was the only doorbell-ringer that day. A few who did come in usually were back out the front door within five minutes after a whirlwind and presumably unsuccessful tour. At no time were there enough men in any house to play Pictionary. (I've seen decidedly more foot traffic in Elko, for sure).

Now, I never show up during karaoke parties or shindigs or celebrations of Madame Suzette's many lifelong achievements, and maybe that's where all the people are. And Rachel, obviously you and some others are doing well.

What I am asking is this broader question, Rachel: How in the livin' blazes does anyone (other than the owner) make any money at this?

I don't think I can post without being critical of brothels.

Short of seeing the company books, the usual way to assess how much money a company is making is to monitor the traffic.  Plus, there are standard expenses every business has, which can be fairly well estimated.  Accountants, IRS, FBI financial group all can do those estimates.  However, the average client isn't going to bother with the required effort just out of curiosity.

Interviewing a former house owner would help reduce estimation errors.  And, if a person was a serious buyer, they could see the books of the prospective house acquisition.

Still, the initial point is well taken.  No traffic, no business, no money, no future.
