Here are some things that happened today in history. The most important one of all Albert Einstein introducing the theory of special relativity because it changed our fundamental view of the Universe. It seems boring to us but it really is special. I don't pretend to understand it but I do understand why if you travel to the nearest star at the speed of light and return it will be eight years for you but when you return everyone will be decades older.

I love the stuff he wrote about about gravity and time. Fascinating stuff.
