I'm baffled why the Education Secretary is pushing to re-open schools. They are saying they will cut off funding if they don't off a full slate of classes. I know it's political but the reasoning being used is so illogical it seems almost criminal.

They say that since kids are getting it less it's okay but teacher's are saying no and scared to get it. The avaerage teacher is in their 60's. Kids will carry it home. Before it wasn't as bad when schools cancelled the last two months but since then it has exploded and it is going to spread.

Sighs.  Smh.

How's it going?  I am just checking in.
It is crazy here in Atlanta, Ga. The Governor
is taking the Mayor to court over the masks and
phase 1 situation. I was dancing in a strip club and
it has closed for the 2nd time because of this mess.
I have decided not to continue dancing anymore.
At least for now. Anyway, it is a hot mess in the
dirty south down here. Hope you guys are doing ok.

I think this is being pushed because of jobs $$$.  Many lower income jobs, the parents can’t afford daycare and can’t afford to not work.  If the schools close, some of the workforce won’t get free childcare and the minimal charge schools charge to watch those kids until 5:00.  The parents won’t be able to work if the kids aren’t warehoused.  The kids will get sick or asymptomatic sick and pass it to lower income workers.  This will be the mega spread of the virus. this fall without a vaccine.

It’s disgusting and sick but, that’s why it’s being pushed and why conspiracy theories abound about the virus not being that bad.  I work with some single moms that are freaking out that school starts in a month in Florida.  Bring the kids to work? Let people work from home? Watch the sickness run rampant?  Oh joy.  :-\

They need mandatory mask and social spacing.
