Lots of maintenance. Be prepared to have your clothes covered in hair constantly. Keep a large supply of lint rollers. Samoyeds are super fun though. Loves to play, loyal. They get along with cats. Need lots of exercise.

If you get a Samoyed save all its shed fur. It can be made into yarn for knitting & weaving. People do make sweaters, mittens & scarves from dog hair. Samoyed is one of the popular breeds for dog hair yarn.

A Siberian Husky would be lower maintenance.

Super cute but, would have to say no.  We're always tempted to get more animals but, looking forward to freedom one day and longer trips  :P

If it is anything older than a young puppy I would worry about the cats.  The hair all over the house and on your clothes is a huge.  Be prepared to hire a full time attendent whose job will be to vacuum hair and clean clothing.

Samoyeds are fine with cats. I wanted a Husky but they will kill a cat sometimes. SixT9er define low maintenance. Eating my couch and getting a new one isn't low maintenance.

A dog that doesn’t require daily brushing, she’d their weight in hair weekly & doesn’t chew everything up.
My Basset hounds have been low maintenance, never had problems chewing shit up & don’t need to be brushed ever. They do shed but not too bad. Give them love, feed them and walk them some, they’ll lay around the rest of the time! Lol added bonus they are too short to get stuff off the counter & cant jump high enough either! Lol
