The question came up to me a while back. Why do men go to brothels?

I'm not a man so I can't say for sure but after five years and talking to hundreds of men this is what I gather. You guys should comment and tell me what is right or wrong.

1. It's an escape. They simply want to be in the company of a beautiful woman that makes them feel good. I don't see anything wrong with that.

2. A lot of men married young and never got to try things and don't want to miss out. I always say that when your time comes you want to look back and say you had good times in life and sex is part of that.

3. This goes with number two and one of the more contreversial ones. They are not satisfied at home. It is false that men lose sex drive as they get older. It can last until their 80's. It's a very powerful drive that is a deep part of the male experience. I don't see a problem with visiting us for this reason but I am biased because I provide a service to them.

4. A lot of guys have a hard time talking to a woman. Not sure what to say. Anxiety that can be overwhelming. Many guys tell me they wanted to approach me but thought I would blow them off or that I am out of their league. Look at any brothel. Some of the women are stunning. Much prettier than me. It's intimidating but we are safe and aren't to be a singles bar bitch.

5. Various types of parties. I have a lot of virgin parties and it's for different reasons like #4. Everyone has a level of sex drive and some guys just don't think about it as much. A lot of them are heavy into their careers working 60+ hours a week for years and don't have time.

Couples almost always come because it is safe and we are tested. Women also don't have to worry if the other girl will pursue their or their husband pursue the girl. A nice packaged safe exprience

6. Guys are not always about humping you like a rabbitt. Many are more interested in affection and just want to cuddle and have a friends with benefits type thing.

7. Some guys want a dominating woman. A lot work in situations of control and just want to let someone else be in control. This one is complex and I could write a whole article.

8. Last but not least. They just want to get laid. Nothing wrong with that. Sometimes I'm the same way.

I believe that you make a good point, Rachel, that different guys go to Brothels for often different reasons. It reminds me of a conversation I had at one of the annual events when a younger guy said to me, "If I was married, I would never go to a brothel." When he also said that he is not married, I said "Tell me that when you are married and fifty or sixty and haven't been laid at home in several years.

I'm glad to hear these things. I can only try to understand being that I'm a woman. Men are often seen as simple and women as complex but to me it seems that it's about equal.

What got me thinking is these articles written by one guy for tons of girls about therapeutic reasons and they come off as really pseudo-psychology. I'd like to add that going to a brothel makes more sense to me than the commitment of an "arrangement" of a "Sugar Daddy" type set up.  Again, that would represent a commitment of both time and money and it is outside of my own budget and comfort zone.  The "pay as you go" of LPIN is simple, periodic and affordable. I feel some of the listed reasons are far too complex to go into without doing a 10 page essay. Others are simple. Depends on the person.

13. Brothels provide a safe place for clients.  In person you know what you're going to get. Meeting people online can be daunting, you don't necessarily know what you're getting into. You could be ripped off, or worse. There is VD testing, and you don't have to fear hurtful rejections.

14. You can be more adventurous. The girls have heard a lot of it before, and a lot of them are open minded. You're less embarrassed bringing up fetishes, kinks, and fantasies, and making requests that you'd otherwise be too afraid to bring up on a date, or even in a relationship.
