I want to say something. This industry has always survived by flying under the radar. Not by poking the powers that be. What a lot of people don't understand is that we cannot survive any other way. Dennis proved this. Short term gains almost became long term loss of his brothels and would have dominoed all of us.

We as the working ladies live two lives. We can't broadcast to the world what we do. Our lives are private. Most come to work and go home without being involved in anything that cause them to outed. We don't need people talking about us at all without our permission so stop trying to save us. It does not matter what you say. Anytime you say the brothels should open people think it's because you want to get laid. No one thinks its because you care about the ladies. This is the reality of public perception.

Do you see ladies filling up posts on either board going on and on about opening? No and it's because they don't want to invite scrutiny. This whole DJ thing is a perfect example. We don't need anyone advocating for us. We are grown women and can handle our own business.

DJ,  your letter was offensive. Insinuating girls are working illegal and spreading disease?  If you ever post anything like that here I will banhammer you into another dimension.

By the way oral is not the bulk of our business. Hmmm. Suggesting how and what we do? Get out of here with that. You have no right to be involved in that. No one does. Taking customer names? Are you nuts?  Discretion is a fundamental piece of our business.

I appreciate everyone's concern for us and by all means talk about it but if hurts us in any way I will delete it.


When I made the board private I didn't realize that people here wouldn't be able to respond to this for the general public. People will go to the other forum and that forum does not represent us in any way so I guess I will open this back up. It feels like a bunch of shit is about to start anyway.

Well said...Public perception is a tough one to overcome in your industry.  Who would have thought that the ladies are doing this work because they enjoy it and the gentleman support this work because they like sex and intimacy.

I think these people of the anti groups are stuck in their ways because they experienced some form of trauma in their life and never healed from it.  They are living in resentment and instead of fixing their own problems they jump on the high horse of trying to save the world.

Everyone seems to have an opinion. It seems to me there are multiple reasons some people are Hell bent to close the Brothels. Consider how Steve Wynn jumped on the band wagon with Harry Reed a feW years ago, despite Vegas being the way it is. Believe me, it was no moral high ground. Rachel's point that everyone just needs to stand down from fanning the flames is a good one. It was so good to have a discrete "best kept secret" for the ladies to work and the clients to patronize the Brothels. I notice that Madam Bella who started some kind of organization is really keeping a low profile. I think that she too, understands exactly what Rachel is saying. One more thing. I think this bozo DJ with his post has "written a check his butt can't cash" with this crowd. He should zip it up before he damages everybody here and there. Of course, that is precisely Rachel's point.

Keep in mind Gov. Sisolak's base is Reno and Las Vegas.  That means the casinos.

The casinos would love to keep any customers from driving out of town to a rural brothel.  They rather let a bunch of indies on their casino floor, and look the other way.  Such activities don't cost the houses any license fees and any expenses for keeping order is covered by the police and city.

It seems to be all pluses for Sisolak to keep the brothels closed.

While the tragedy of unbridled stupidity can strike either gender, history (primarily thru wars and general violent dominance) has proved that men do in fact rein supreme in that category.

Thank you for these thoughts Rachel, I always wonder about kickback for stuff when people start pushing the powers that be. I am actually wondering if there won't be any from the lawsuit. I hope that it doesn't make it worse for everyone, but being positive I also hope it works as well.

Considering nothing has worked super well in the past I dont know if I should be positive or not... but whatever. I hope it will work.... I have so many friends out of work and it sucks :-(

Right now everyone is pressuring the State and the last thing they want is a gnat flying around in their face. Casinos bring 20 billion into NV. They are the face of the State. They have power. This is why there is no state lottery. It gets shot down nearly every session. No one gets anything until they get theirs.

We should just keep our heads down and let this pass. We don't have a choice. We cannot usurp public opinion of who we are. No one will ride in to save us. There will be no protests for us. It can all die just like that.

That is reality.
