As I told all my students down through the years - "Freedom Brings Responsibility"
- that's from Thomas Jefferson, author of the Declaration of Independence.
So thanks vets, for keeping America Free! :)

Thank you.

I didn't know that this was originally Armastice Day and marked the end of World War I. Just thought it was interesting.

Even if I fight with you I still wish you happy Veterans Day and thank you for your sacrifice.

The best way to honor the military is not by wearing little Chinese made American flags and saying thank you for your service. The best way is by not involving them in wars we have no business being in.
BTW: Not saying we should never go to war. Also not pointing out one party or the other as both parties have done the same thing over the years.

It's true. Politicians of all kinds have waged war. There are no leaders leading the troops into battles anymore. The lyrics to War Pigs pretty much describes how it works in modern times.

Great posting Log Cabin!! I remember the days when Veteran's Day used to be a national holiday. I guess that is a thing of the past. I am glad that a lot of people still honor the U.S. veterans. There are a number of my family members that are veterans. Thanks for remembering all veterans with you post...
