I learned a couple of things on my 4488 mile journey. Not all motels use the same definition of "Handicap accessible". Case in point:Travel lodge in Cheyenne, WY showed it as accessible. The only ADA about it was parking in front of the door and a grab bar by the stool. No bars in the shower, no Steve in the shower either. Next night Motel 6 in Wendover, UT. the shower was the best ever of all the places I stayed. Had a padded seat, and two vertical rails for the shower wand with plenty of pressure. You can stand to take a shower or sit down and move the wand to the lower rail. The other 12 motels I stayed at in the Wyndham chain I would rate as average to above average for ADA compliance.

Yep.  It is obvious some hotel owners/managers never saw a person with a disability.
