A few of my friends know I visit the houses. I’m bombarded with questions from them every time I return from a trip. They all have the wrong idea of what takes place in a legal brothel.
Sex is the ultimate taboo to talk about where I’m from. It’s only to be used in marriage and for procreation is what has been hammered into my mind and a lot of people I know.

The interesting part is the people I know that judge the hardest have so much hardship in their lives. Divorce is not an option for them. They are in a relationship with no sex, intimacy, or any type of bond with their mate. They have turned to other methods to alleviate the stress in their lives. I’m talking of heavy gambling to the point where repo men are showing up, drinking heavily, and controlled substance abuse.

I’d rather have “taboo” sex in a legal brothel, than end up like people I know that are against brothels, but have no idea what goes on in a brothel.

For many people, "open minded" means you changing your mind to their beliefs.  It doesn't mean the other way around.

I think you are definitely on to something there. Before I gave up gambling and ultimately started going for LPIN I know that I was looking for an escape in the wrong place. Too expensive and not fulfilling wither. Before that to a degree it was booze. It took me a long time to get in touch with this. I think more therapists need to understand it and share it with their patients. After all, sex is natural. Getting hooked into gambling or too much alcohol is not.
