Non-Smoking Brothels

I haven't visited all the Nevada brothels that are currently open, but I believe that Mustang Ranch is the only brothel that prohibits smoking inside their buildings.  Mustang Ranch should be commended for instituting their non-smoking provision since they're obviously concerned about the health of their Courtesans, clients, employees and restaurant & bar customers.

I have asthma due to breathing an excessive amount of smoke over 20 plus years on the fire ground, so I appreciate being able to breathe fresh air inside a brothel.  I'm accustomed to a smoke free environment because I live in California where smoking is prohibited inside public or business buildings throughout the state.  There are a few exceptions such as cigar lounges and Native American Indian casinos on tribal land, and of course smokers may smoke in private buildings not open to the public.  Most Nevada hotels now offer smoke free casino areas or floors and guest rooms, and the Platinum Hotel in Las Vegas is totally non-smoking.

I believe the following is an accurate list of LPIN brothels currently open.  Are any brothels other than Mustang Ranch smoke free?

I agree with you .  In the past I have become sick from smoke several times out there.  Can't stand smoke or the smell on the gals. It was a huge step in the right direction by Lance.

I seldom go to Sheri's anymore due to the heavy smoke.  It's terrible!

Some time back I did a short visit to a house in  Carson  and when the door opened it stunk.  We were only in there a short time and left. That was unreal.

For the southern houses, it would seem that an outdoor smoking area would be feasible for all the months of the year.  The weather usually is warm enough for a short smoke outside.

I'm not positive if Inez have a non-smoking policy or not, but I don't recall seeing any of the ladies smoking in the bar area and Peter usually goes outside to smoke.

I also have to agree that Sheri's is one of the worse, especially when the bar is crowded.  Although, some brothels are better with smoke management than others.

The only thing that I like about the casinos in my home state (Illinois) is that there is a state law prohibiting smoking in all Illinois casinos.  Although most of the casinos have a separate smoking room which is isolated from the casino area for the smokers.

The Desert Club is a non smoking house. We do have a fenced in patio which you can smoke at. But not in house.

Some guys smoke and as long as it's not around me and doesn't smell I am cool. If someone that smells like smoke is in your room then all your stuff smells like it too. I would get home from the BR and open my suitcase and it smelled like an ashtray.

Here is how I see it and some people may not like this but there is no other way to put it. If a person is smoking in a brothel they are selfish and do not care about any of the girls at all. Most of the girls are young and some of them WILL get cancer later in life. That is a fact. Many of those will be caused by years of working in a smoke-filled bar. Would they blow smoke in their daughter's face? Then why do it to someone else's. I mean if I had a daughter and someone did that I would hurt them. There is no defense to this. Nothing can make it okay to poison another person.

To make it worse it's pretty well known we are independent contractors and have to pay for our own health care. Many just can't afford it or even know how to get it. Some girls have asthma. Should they not work? It's crazy because smoking has become a bad thing to society. In other words, you ARE NOT making more money by letting people smoke in a brothel. You are losing money.

The law specifically states that casinos, bars. and brothels are exempt from smoking laws. How did brothels get tacked on there? The lobbyist for LPIN of course. They had one but he wasn't lobbying for us, he lobbied for brothels. Well, he retired. Good riddance.

My understanding is that the newly remodeled Wild Cat is non-smoking. No hint of smoke when I was there.

I suspect there is a similarity between someone who smokes (heavily) and one who hasn't bathed for awhile.
