I *love* Ruth. "Ya fuckin' bitch wolf" is my favorite. That lady deserved it, too.
I don't want to spoil anything so I am keeping it super vague--when the guy dating Ruth for a minute does the thing to correct his actions and she goes into the trailer and comes out 2 seconds later with a shotgun (rifle?), already realizing how serious it is while he has no idea. LOVE HER. God that guy was cute but so dumb.

Man you have to feel so sad for Wendy's brother. Heart wrenching. That's good writing. Forcing characters to make decisions violate their morals or to make a decision like she did. This is going to happen to Ruth. Her character has been pushed so hard that she will have to break if the storyline is to be good.
