State Bankrupting Brothels Pandemic Excuse?

Have you ever wondered if the state is not letting brothels reopen because they want them to go out of business? Anti-prostitution advocates are probably pushing hard to keep them closed.

Money and influence wins most of the time.

For the fact the Governor is silent about the brothels tells us what his plans are.

Time for a "burn your bra" march on the capital in Carson City and raise some noise.

Am starting to think this too. The brothels pay so much in taxes and help the local counties too. Would think they want the brothels to reopen or else they'll be losing funding.

It is much deeper then that.  The Governor has directives which he follows blindly not knowing the true agenda.  There are only a few persons of power that are calling the shots and the rest of the politicians are puppets to the commands.

Elon Musk has been dropping hints on what he has learned from the billionaire club meetings for some time now.  The playbooks have been written many years ago and are being played out now.  The media is playing out the divide and conquer technique and the people are falling for it sadly.

Makes sense if you can’t vote them out then force them out & no better way than removing their potential to make $.
The Gov has made it very clear he doesn’t care about rural counties because they didn’t vote for him so one way to get at them is to attack one of their revenue streams which in this case the easy targets are the Brothels by using public safety as an excuse

I think you guys are overestimating the amount of money brothels contribute to state and local government in Nevada.

When the casinos were closed, they had a real number the state makes off Nevada casinos, same with the gold mines in NE Nevada. When Hot August Nights or a convention like Safari club cancels their event, they have real numbers because the city has staff or accounting firm track those guests.

Don't know if the same can be said about brothels. Only time we hear something is when the brothels themselves claim a dollar amount. Never hear a state backed number. Even Hof claimed he paid so much (500k) in taxes, truth was it was about 1% of Lyon county's annual budget of over 50 million. Something they could work without or even replace if the anti-brothel crowd got their wishes.

If they were allowing nightclubs in the casinos / pool parties in the casinos / strip clubs to open - but not the brothels - I think the conspiracy theory would hold more weight.  Personally, I think the governors in all the states with the big increases in Covid 19 cases are scared sh**less about opening more stuff.  In Nevada, I think they are desperately trying to figure out how much reopening the casinos is to blame for their increase.  And desperately trying to figure out how to keep the casinos open safely.
All that takes priority for them over opening more stuff.

Don't get me wrong - I have an appt. with my favorite lady that got canceled.  I can't wait to see her.

Personally, I'm awfully tired of protests and don't think it'd do much good.  The media would likely just make fun of it - saying "look at these working girls out protesting" and then go back to their other issues.

We just all have to keep being patient.  When we get to have our fun again - it'll be more appreciated than ever b4.

Actually Rachel, I think you may be spot on.  There are a lot of anti-brothel people and if they drag their feet long enough, the problem goes away.  Of course some will move to escorting, which is pervasive in Vegas.  Those wanting to not get into legal trouble and "needing" courtesans will travel to Canada, Mexico, Europe, etc... or chance the escort scene.

Mrs. and I would most likely just be out.  We love each other and really enjoy sex with each other.  This was and adventure that would just end a little sooner.  After talking, we probably wouldn't ever go into the lifestyle (swinging).  We may visit a swing club a few times just for the show and excitement?

Really can't see the Mr. risking his licenses and job for sex he can have legally.  The brothels were a way to enjoy some variety without the possibility of emotional pitfalls.
Married Couple from Florida looking for fun.
