I am going to wait on a Husky because they need a lot of room to roam. Instead I think I will get a Westie. Any opinions?

Westies are a fun breed. Make sure you have lots of toys for one. They have a high prey drive. They also require plenty of excersise.
They CAN be possessive if not trained early.
If you plan on getting one, they require a lot of patience, and love with training. Otherwise, they are pretty awesome.

I have always liked big male dogs. They are so loyal and protective. Got 2 now and 1 ( Winchester ) is 101 lbs.
( Yesterday he earned his keep when a thug showed up and BTW Winchester did have "back up". )

I always wanted a wolf looking dog. I really want a samoyed but, I wouldn’t be able to care for a dog properly, so I don’t adopt one.
The japanese spitz looks like a good breed too.
I’ve only had female dogs. If I get another dog, I’m getting a female.

Westies need a lot of attention and maintenance, very cute tho

I have no experience with a Westie but if they are anything like a terrier they are going to be hyperactive little machines.

Westies are actually a pretty docile terrier given enough attention. I don't recommend leaving one at home alone though for even a few hours.
