New project on RPG Maker MV

So on Monday, I bought my copy of RPG Maker MV for my Switch.

A few years ago, I downloaded RPG Maker Fes on my 3DS. I created a horror game called Blood Manor. In this game, you’re investigating an old polygamist compound full of ghosts, one hostile spirit actively hunting you. It stands at 4 1/2 stars on RPG Maker Player. I started a sequel but decided I’d wait till a console version came out. But other ideas popped up.

So now, I’m working this new project and it started out as something completely different. But after not finding any satisfactory sprites, I’m now working on Blood Manor 2.

Sadly, the characters on MV are completely different from Fes, but I’ll make it work. I’ll post more on it the further I get. I only really invest an hour or two each day, as I’m pretty busy the rest of the day. Some game designer I am.

I’ll keep you all posted.

XD Old polygamist compound! You're so creative Nick XP

I try to be.

To date, no other game, let alone a big budget AAA game, has ever had polygamy be a factor in its story. This game got uploaded in 2018, on my daughter’s birthday, to be exact. I thought about remaking the game on this version, basically to correct the bugs I missed, but Kadokawa has a lot of bugs in their code that a quick update patch should fix. There’s no way I should be walking in a wall or through an altar with a book on it.

I hope to piss off the Mormons again...well, to be honest, I didn’t piss off many with the first game. I wish I could upload these games to Steam and reach a bigger audience. But since the state of Utah was practically built on group sex, and having a video game mention that, especially with a polygamist sect that practices dark magic and uses cult like practices, I expect the church to mention something about it when it’s out.

Besides, I should create and sell some Blood Manor 2 merch when the game nears completion, maybe host a free T-shirt giveaway if a hidden item is found. Just a few things I’m kicking around.

Unrelated to RPG Maker, I also enjoy Super Mario Maker 2. Two of my levels are featured on this video, with another two on a separate video. I saw the dude play my levels, and I actually felt like a game designer.
