Reopening the Brothels

This may or may not be a controversial subject. I do not intend for it to be. Obviously people were talking to a fence post at the hearings today with no response. Like somebody said "Systematic Passive-aggressive," no comment or reaction. Sadly, if and when and whether they reopen and under what circumstances may or may no be on the table. Who knows? So why bring up the obvious now? Here's why.

Even if the Governor says yes, reopen, how much business has already been lost? How fast will people, providers and clients suddenly flock to the Brothels even without restrictions?

If there are restrictions, such as masks and social distancing, restrictions on activities, then how much more will the business be impacted? Will Courtesans be able to afford to wait for a limited number of customers? Will they have to try to get more per party and will the clients overall be willing to pay it? Will there be enough to cover the lady's time and expense?

Will there be out-of-towners reluctant to fly and also reluctant to risk Cov-19?

Have the so-called replacements and indys hi-jacked some of the business for good? I have seen comments of that nature. Yet there will no doubt be new customers to the Brothels once it is back to normal. It may take a while to rebuild.

Is the industry doomed or will it ever return to "business as usual?" I think it will return. But in what amount of time? Brothels have been in Nevada since the Gold rush I think.

If I were working or employed in a brothel, I  would want to know what to expect. Of course, none of us know the answers at this time. Any Courtesan or Brothel employee needs a Plan B in order to survive, obviously. I want to share for the benefit of any LPIN or employee who reads this where I would personally stand from a client point of view. I do not intend to go back until things are almost 100 percent back to normal. The "new normal" for me can include Cov-19 testing, temperature check and possibly even a mask in the lobby but that is the extent that I would allow restrictions before simply staying home. The mask is almost a deal killer for me.  Beyond that, I would want the same kind of parties as before, no masks or other restrictions other than the usual ones from before COV-19. It is simply not worth it to me to spend over $500 flying out west, rent a car for $200 and $300 hotel only to enjoy a masked hand job or whatever kind of restriction, while still risking COV-19 by plane or at the ranch. I'd be out a grand before partying which is ok if its "business as usual." In short, COV-19 has ruined it for me, even if they do reopen.

I feel empathy for the ladies in this field. If I were in it, I would be trying to move those same marketing skills to another industry or market. Of course, I do not know what it could be as it depends on the individual as well as available jobs. Many of the ladies do have other options. The escorting might help some of them. I think to sit and wait is no doubt depressing and further demotivating.

Just like the days of Joe Conforte and the collapse of the old Mustang, eventually, it will come back and perhaps even better than before. When? My personal guess is that it may take years to restore the entire system, Courtesans, customer base and without all of the COV-19 issues and precautions. Rachel, I hope that you will either forgive me for posting this or understand that it is because I have empathy for You and your colleagues. Many people are impacted by the shutdown and I think folks should be honest about how they feel if for no other reason than to provide a little feedback. I would guess that there are others that look at it like i do. My own business is down over 75 percent for the year. If there are clients who want to help these ladies, great. Many of our businesses and/or jobs are in similar straits.

We can only hope that if and when a vaccine is developed, that it is a game changer and then the Brothels can return and then start to heal more quickly. I believe that it could still take time, months to years after reopening. I hope that I am wrong. Personally, I miss it. I do not see it coming back any time soon. Disclaimer: I really do not know shit about the Brothel industry but I do know a little about economics and survival.

So here are my thoughts. Provided the haters don't screw it all up and then whine and cry when there are no brothels things will go back to normal. People are creatures of habit. When a vaccine happens, masks will disappear and it will be like it never happened.

I don't know if fate will allow me to ever set foot in a brothel ever again. Long story short Covid F efd up a lot of things for me that will continue for me long after this pandemic is over.

But if fate allows it if we ever wind up in a brothel at the same time. You can buy me a soda. I don't do alcohol not since 07.

Company Christmas party at the managers house. That I didn't want to go to in the first place, but felt I had to. Chose to drink fell down the stairs at the end of the night busted collar bone. 3 surgeries to fix. Still have the scars. No more drinking for me.  Was never something I did regularly anyway so no big loss don't miss it.

I think they will be OK if they are allowed to open. My guess is though it will be a while before you will be allowed to hang out in the bar before or after a party. No matter what your beverage of choice is rather it be alcohol or something non alcoholic.

My guess is you will have to either make an appointment. You might be able to get away with just showing up and picking out of a lineup. But my guess it will be a while before you see a brothel rather it be Mustang or the Rabbit Hut hosting any big parties. You will find the vibe no matter which brothel you go to. The vibe will be picked a girl sooner rather than later or hit the road Jack. At least for a while when they first open back up at least for a while.

Funmonger, I think it is going to still be a long time. Governor shithead spoke tonight. Numbers are going up, as high as when the outbreak first hit. They are talking about putting back restrictions in Washoe.

What we all knew and enjoyed isn't coming back for a long time. To compound this, it will be forever until I get to go to a rock concert as well.
