I believe it is real.  The study and practice of zinc for virus protection has been around for a while.

I stocked up on zinc supplements while everyone else was stocking up on toilet paper.

No harm in zinc that I know of plus its good for the libido and baby making juice.

Yeah supposedly increases sperm. Peter North said he eats good and chews zinc gum. Who knows? I would need a test subject.
