Nevada doesn't want me anymore!
I'm understanding the Nevada GOV. as much as said to stay the fuck home if you're over 65. I usually always go to Vegas, Reno or Lake Tahoe for Christmas. Doesn't he realize old bastards like me are the most careful group of people wearing mask carrying hand sanitizer and not getting in any big crowds? It's many of the young uns catching it and then passing it on to everyone else? Perhaps I'll go to Tahoe and stay in Tahoe city and stand on the banks of lake Tahoe flipping my finger at Nevada while spending my money on the CA. side.

You're careful & I'm careful. My sister & brother-in-law were careful but got the disease anyway. Brother-in-law was on a ventilator in the hospital but has recovered enough to be taken off the machine. My sister only has a low-grade fever & a runny nose. Brother-in-law thinks he was exposed to the virus when he went to the drug store to pick up a prescription. That was the last time he was out of the house. My sister apparently got it from him.
My brother-in-law was being careful wearing his mask & maintaining social distancing but he still got the disease anyway. I haven't been out of the house for two weeks when I had to deposit a retirement check. I probably won't go out again until this month's check comes. Staying the fuck at home seems like a good idea to me. Nevada will still be there when it's safe to socialize again.

Why would anyone expect a politician to care?

No, what would stop me is things being closed down the the point, it's not really worth going. As it is now, you have to make reservations ahead of time if you want to dine in. Casinos have been cut to 25% of capacity and usually I would get comped rooms but with the restrictions, the free rooms are only going to the super high rollers and they've raised the prices up on the rest of the rooms trying to make up for the 25% maximum capacity. It gets to a point where it's not worth going. I try and avoid crowds like the plague and being unable to see some of the most popular things due to crowds is also a big factor. CA. is also cracking down so it might not even Be worth going to Tahoe and staying in Tahoe City. What amazes me is the fact, people knew this was a bad virus and still refused to wear mask and not get in crowds spreading it around. What did they think---It was fake like the president said? That it would never get this bad? Or as the president also said, it was just like the flu? Kind of hard to figure.

It stinks but, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Most people 65+ should have vaccine access by the end of January/ beginning of February.
Married Couple from Florida looking for fun.

Have you tried the smaller towns like Winnemucca and Elko? No crowds and not impossible to get reservations.SIDEWINDER link wrote: No, what would stop me is things being closed down the the point, it's not really worth going. A lot of young people are spreading which is not surprising. They are young and think they are immortal. Everyone does at that age and like I said you just don't see it in your face like places where population is more packed in so they don't believe it will affect them. This mirrors the 1918 pandemic so this winter will probably be devastating and then hopefully it will die down. We'll have to wait and see.

You know, the biggest spread is in the Convalescent homes. If you stop to think about it, it didn't start there. It's being brought in from the outside by workers. Hopefully, I can get my Vaccine soon. Does this mean I'll change what I'm doing now? No, I'll continue to wear my mask and use my hand sanitizer. From what I've been reading, this is going to be with us for years. That is every year it will come back and it will be one more vaccine we have to take every year.

This is a perfect example of what I was talking about with Covid-19 being brought into the nursing homes. These people should all be fired if nothing else for acting carelessly costing several lives.

In New York the governor order sick covid patients to be put into the nursing homes.
Later he lied and said he didn't order such a thing.
