We were offline because traffic has been steadily rising and it was over-utilizing the server. It's understandable but on Christmas morning when they are probably running on a skeleton crew and then after doing what they ask it took another 13 hours to turn it on? That is unacceptable. I have to move to a dedicated server probably very soon. They are not cheap so I will be looking into that. For something like $90 a month IF you buy 5 years or else it's $180 a month. I don't monetize the site and won't be either. I'm not placing ads. I rather do a gofundme before I make you guys look at a bunch of garbage.


The thing is this. The number of members really doesn't mean squat in this business. Unlike other industries, the stigma is so overwhelming that most people are not going to make accounts. People don't want to be connected in any way to prostitution but they will read the site because it is interesting and in America especially there is no other site like it. Pageviews and those kind of stats are what is important. That's why I never make posts about the number of new members. It is not a good gauge of growth in this industry. I will set up a backup version on another host. Even if it has to be a small box of my own in case something happens I can at least get something up.



No matter what, the site isn't going anywhere. Sorry for the inconvenience. We will figure it out and keep the forum going.

Yeah you have to do some pruning or it gets out of control. A lot of optimizing. I have said it before and will say it again SMF forum software sucks. I can't move to something like Discuss because they don't care if the site is about legal prostitution, they don't want to be near it. Would be so much easier.

I aleady did a trial run and migrated the site to a new software but debating it. I really have to look forward and see what will make it better and more acceptable. People just don't use forums anymore.

Many solutions don't give you control and a company can just wipe your site and if it is proprietary you are fucked and lose it all.

I might have to remove tapatalk because anytime they update you might get issues with SMF because it's not as big as other software.

Anyway, lots to do. No worries. It's worth it in the end. Some things were posted on SIN that showed me just how the admin thinks about women and it was disgusting. It actually made me sad that people supported this. We are at the bottom of the pole in the adult industry and so many women struggle with being accepted in the world of prostitution and to have someone running a site that could help us but debase us is disheartening.

So as long as they exist so will brothellife. It's not personal, it's become something much bigger. Hate on me all you want but don't hate on and disrespect the women making all this possible.

So here is what happened. I get Reddit spikes. I was down two days from it one time. I have been on Redditt a lot so I figured that's what was happening. I decided to move to a new host with a dedicated server because I didn't like the service I was getting. Going through the stats with them I realized I was getting most likely a DOS attack. It wasn't from people that hate the business. Nobody cares about these two little forums. That is ridiculous.[/size]

I am super busy moving all the stuff and setting up and trying to keep up with a forum, a website, other forum, onlyfans, Twitter, Instagram and God knows what else so I didn't think it was a priority to inform him what it was.[/size]

Here's the deal.Q tries to make me look like I'm stupid or lying. I am not a tech genius, that is true. Doesn't mean I am stupid. My background is in law and accounting. I built this site and worked long hours to get it right and still try to improve it. Q never built his site. It was given to him by one of the members that had a lot of things going on and didn't have time for it. It was not given to him because he had leadership qualities. It was given to him because no one else wanted it.[/size]
