ALL TIME FAVORITE COURTESAN OF THE YEAR (ATF COY)
The LPIN 2020 Awards committee is considering an ATF COY contest for the Silver Anniversary.
The ATF COY Award is desired to commemorate the Silver Anniversary and highlight the 25 year COY Winner history.
No rule change is necessary as respects the other award categories, but simply an addition of ATF COY to the contest.
It would not be required that a Lady be currently active in LPIN nor employed in the brothel business.
All 23 COY Winners would be eligible for ATF COY nomination.
What's your opinion of this special award?
23 COY Winners:
Adele – Sagebrush Ranch - 2000
Anna Suvari – Moonlite Bunny Ranch - 2007, 2008 & 2009

In a word, Dahlia. She was nominated seven times and never won. I'm hoping as a minimum, this will finally be her year. I know that this is not what you want to hear regarding the proposal fo a 25 year award. I'm Ok with it. The only issue for me is, that the annual COY Award has just become more about recency of involvements on the boards, not withstanding no action at all this particular year. I applaud you and anyone else who spends time and money on these endeavors. Perhaps it would be a good idea to rough draft the parameters for such a 25 year award. My vote for dahlia is a strong because she was proud to be a runner up every year. Arguably, she was in the finals more than anyone else.

I deleted my post because it is not fair to Dahlia. The post is about ATF COY and we shouldn't drag her name into it. I don't really know her and don't want to negatively hurt her chances.

I think if the committee is looking to commemorate the 25th anniversary there could be great ways to do that where all the past winners and history/evolution of brothels during that time could be highlighted and recognized. I don't personally think establishing a new one-time reward is the right way to go about that and will just add divisiveness to awards that are already controversial in some respects.
Many of the past winners are ladies that a large number of voters know nothing about and have never met much less partied with. As Rachel said, nothing prevents voters from voting for someone they haven't partied with, but chances are they are more likely to vote for someone they do know or partied with. This alone disenfranchises older winners as they are much less likely to get as many votes. Additionally, what if an older winner is selected? Is the committee still in contact with all these individuals and do they have the ability to invite them to a function or even let them know they have won. Again, if not, then what exactly is the point of it?
I would celebrate all of the ladies and their different eras rather than asking voters to choose. It's like requiring votes on who is the best bb player of all time and asking voters to pick between MJ, Doctor J, Kareem, Magic, etc. Notice I didn't mention a current player who will not be named because he is nothing but a narcissistic punk.

That's a good question. Good point. What if it is someone from a long time ago? I have always thought a rookie of the year award is awesome. You have to work for that.
If the problem is money for the trophy and other things then some anonymous donations through a gofundme would solve that.
Just put up the goal and see if it reaches that.

Annual COY winners no longer in the business won't be active ATF COY participants, so COY winners still in the business won't be competing against them.
The 10 COY winners still in the business, and the 13 retired COY winners are listed on the nomination ballot to recognize and honor them on the Silver Anniversary. All 23 COY winners must be included to commemorate the Silver Anniversary and highlight the 25 year COY history.
Courtesans must correspond with clients, maintain a presence on the boards, promote themselves, and communicate the desire to become COY, besides being excellent Courtesans to win the annual Courtesan of the Year contest. Likewise, COY winners must compete for ATF COY to a certain degree, and those participants will probably be the finalists and winner. Therefore, ATF COY finalists and winner will likely be Ladies still working in the business, because it's unlikely retired COY winners will partake.
ATF COY finalists and winner will be the annual COY winners who the voters select in the LPIN 2020 Awards contest, and they will be the elected favorites at this very moment; however, the results of a similar 2010 contest may have been different, but time changes everything and that can't be remedied.

Go for it! Its supposed to just be for fun anyway. Amazing at least as of the end of 2019 How many of the past COY winmers were still at least semi active and touring in the brothers.firefighter link wrote: The awards committee is considering an ATF COY category for LPIN 2020 Awards only.

Keep in mind though its just another category for you all to get bent, and butt hurt over if your chosen favorite past COY winner doesn't win the all time contest.
Like I said go for it but remember its just supposed to be for fun. The world will not end if your personal past favorite COY doesn't win.
There are a couple of girls on there I managed to party with. A couple others like Rachel I only met in person. I actually did vote for Rachel the year she won because she was nice to me. Even though the time was not right to try and book her the night I met her. But I still remember she made a point to be nice and chat for a while. So if the category is added. I would consider voting for her again. If I can't decide between the past wiinners on the list I did actually mange to book with at least once.

I agree. You know, the whole popularity argument is ridicilous and used by those that don't win. Sorry but that's the truth. Many things should be considered. Parties are not the be all end all. I mean if you want it then you have to show that, you have to promote yourself, promote the business wholeheartedly. There was a time when it was a small club of people and there was no way to be seen except through tightly controlled forums. Now there is social media and a forum that won't ban people for their opinions. I wouldn't ban any girl unless it was extreme which is the same for anyone. I wouldn't ban people I don't get along with. I wouldn't ban Alice because we are not friendly.firefighter link wrote: Annual COY winners no longer in the business won't be active ATF COY participants, so COY winners still in the business won't be competing against them.

The one thing I stress to other ladies is that you should participate and not just post sexual posts.
Look at Roxy Gold, Vanity, Drew, Alexa, and others. They are real.
I have no say. It's just my opinion. You guys determine why you vote and have fun.

I say go for it, especially since it's the 25 anniversary.
When I was looking at the list, out of the 23 past COY winners there are only 5 ladies (Adele, Envy, Katherine Leigh, Rachel, and Shannon) who I've never met in person and/or party with. :o

I think it’s a great idea. The COY of all COYS. I know that Dalhia has not been a COY yet and I hopefully am looking forward t crowning her this year. She deserves it and has earned it. 25th year Annavetsity on top of that would be fantastic.

There is just no way to pick one lady from that list. But it does bring back a lot of memories.
