Most people I know started feeling under the weather and then a day or two like the flu and then like the flu on steroids. Two lost sense of taste. One her hearing and still doesn't hear well. She didn't die and had hallucinations for two or three days. They took her in after the ambulance said there was no reason to go in. The lady can hardly walk, hasn't eaten in four days, completely out of it. So other people were like water and took her.Cobia link wrote:
Has anyone on here had covid virus ?
If so how did it start out?
The one that died was 93 but this was a man that went out and did the chores and everything. He was there for three days and they said he is doing well enough. He felt fine and was dad eight hours later.
It's just all over the place and there are variants.
Sorry, too much information.

My sister & brother-in-law both got it just after Thanksgiving. My sister's symptoms were mild compared to my B-I-L. My sister had loss of taste & severe headaches for about two weeks but she is now symptom free & appears to be fully recovered. My B-I-L had loss of taste & headaches as well but also had breathing problems & severe fatigue. He was admitted to a hospital & put on a ventilator for a few days. While in the hospital he developed heart arrhythmia problems but those cleared up quickly. He's was in the hospital & rehab about a month but is back home now. He still has lingering after-effects of the virus. He still fatigues easily & has chronic headaches. His sense of taste is slowly returning.
My aunt passed away from COVID just before Christmas. She was 92 & in a nursing home with dementia issues. My cousins have not been forthcoming with the full details of her passing. I don't know how long she had it before expiring.
I don't know of any other family members or friends that have or had COVID.

Brother, sister-in-law, and their 4 kids caught it in Vegas. They're ICU nurses. Brother was very sick for a week.
Sister, Brother-in-law in Michigan caught it. 2 months later still not smell / taste (neurological disorder). They both were very sick for almost a week. Sister was very sick for 1 1/2 weeks.
Friend of ours who helped us out with construction in the past just died from it, he was 62.
Numerous friends who have had it... all were sick, some extreme. The worst is a 40 year old woman, Crossfit athlete. She caught it and her lungs never recovered. She can't run a 1/4 mile now.
Luckily, we use caution and wear masks so, no covid. Holding out for the vaccine before we ever attempt to travel.

I spent 6 hrs. in the ER last night with bad chest pain and trouble breathing. They ran many heart test and found nothing. Had a covid test and it came back neg. So...... didn't find out anything but no problems today.
Oh....this is the second time for this. Last time was 2 yrs. ago and it was a lot worse.

Wow! That’s pretty scary Cobia. Sorry to hear about the pains and trouble breathing. Glad to hear no problems today and your Covid test is negative. Hopefully you’re good as new soon.Cobia link wrote: I spent 6 hrs. in the ER last night with bad chest pain and trouble breathing. They ran many heart test and found nothing. I think COVID fatigue is real and just about everyone is there. My latest was a debate at the last HOA meeting about the community pool this summer and whether we will open it or not.Funmonger link wrote: Glad you are OK Cobia. I had first Pfizer shot, will have second this week. Who isn;t sick of this shit? But wtf, it is an invasion.
My prediction is that we will have distributed enough vaccine that it will be declared over around mid July, right around the time we start getting those 90-100 degree days and people will be demanding to open the pool. Which is easy to dismiss now when its -5 degrees out!
I know the big push here is teachers, getting all of them vaccinated by the end of the month. We are holding large vaccination events every weekend for them. In March will be other essential workers and those with 2 or more risk factors (as well as all the seniors who haven't received it yet).
I expect that if J&J gets approved in the next two weeks, that we will go from supply being the bottleneck to distribution. We will see!
