Screw this cold weather in Texas. I'm going to Cancun.

BTW: I don't see blue or red states like some. I just see states and people who are hurting and need help. Where is FEMA? Where is the National guard? Where is the Red Cross?  People in Texas are freezing, hungry and don't have water or electricity. If there was ever a time to get the ball rolling to help people out, this is it.

Sidewinder you know it's all about politics.
You know the current federal government will never help people that don't 100% support their beliefs and views.
BTW. This is a Texas problem and we will fix it and be better than ever without any help from the federal government.

Just out off water.  All business that need water are closed . HEB closed. Power was on and off for part of the city.

But it has nothing to do with a US Senator going on vacation as Sidewinder wants to make it out as being his fault.

The fault is at the State level ,local level and the electric producers for not being prepared.

What?  Can't gov solve all the problems?
It should only take a simple executive order from Biden to make all things okay.
Has anyone called the White House?

Just my opinion but now is not the time for finger pointing as many politicians in Texas are now doing including GOV. Abbot. They'll be plenty of time for investigations later but the most important thing now is helping the people who've been affected. I did hear a news clip from the former GOV Rick Perry that Texas does not need help from the Government and things will be back to normal in a few days. Tell the to someone who has kids who is freezing and hungry without water and broken pipes in their house. Even after the weather changes and the electricity comes back on, this is far from over with all the damage caused.

I guess you can see what happens when there aren't any coal generating power plants producing electricity. Watch and see, It's just going to get worse. People continue to believe the liberal propaganda about how destructive coal is.

I saw an interview with the GOV of Arkansas  and they also got pounded but didn't suffer the electrical problems Texas did.  I wasn't sure what the Arkansas Gov was saying was correct that Texas operated their own  electrical grid independently where Arkansas is in a pact with other states to help each out in case of emergencies. From reading this, I guess he is right.

Sidewinder all you do is point your finger and shout the need for your communist government to control everything.
BTW... We sure don't need help from the power hungry democrats in DC or California.

Looks like your great King Gavin is about to get recalled for what a great job he has done destroying California.

Can you just put your political agenda aside for a change and concentrate n the people who are suffering which are probably both conservative and liberal and what's being done to help them?

Power out for over 30hrs and now back, no running water since Sunday!  If i could go to Cancun I would or any where!  If I went nobody would care!  Lol

My take...this is local n state realm..like the Governor, so no issue since he couldnt do much at the moment.  Now if mayor of Houston took off i had a problem or Governor.

Yes Abbott did, and a state of emergency has been declared. FEMA shipped Generators, diesel, blankets food and water to airports in Texas waiting to be distributed.

National Guard spread out across the state to try and provide aid.
