I think a few kilos of C-4 would do the trick! ;D

If you stopped buying all that cheap Chinese junk, you wouldn't have all that ship traffic.

Sidewinder must have been at the helm.

I just looked this up and I know it's not a good situation but whoever was steering that ship is in some shit unless it was avoidable. I read that the ship was a quarter mile long.Wildfire link wrote:

Apparently there was a strong cross wind. Those ships certainly have a lot of area on each side of the ship that the wind could push against. (Just like a semi truck being pushed around with a strong cross wind.) We will see if the wind was a factor, after an investigation is complete. However, there have been several spectacular shipping disasters caused by stupid/drunk/idiot crews.Rachel Varga link wrote: I just looked this up and I know it's not a good situation but whoever was steering that ship is in some shit unless it was avoidable. Well, I'm not a genius by any stretch of the imagination but if I were the trail boss, the first thing I would have done immediately was to bring in the heavy helicopters and start unloading those containers in hopes it would be easier to get the ship unstuck. I've seen those helicopters in action and they could lift the containers off the ship with no problem. I haven't been able to read whether the containers are empty or full. I understand the U.S Navy is going in. I bet they won't sit around with their fingers up their ass asking what can we do.

Some reports say the ship had a black out and lost power and navigation abilities.

Here's some more to the story. As I expected, the ship is full having come from China. These guys are not thinking talking about cranes to unload. Heck, they have the whole desert to sit the containers down in if they don't have an empty ship available. I guess they never heard of the heavy duty helicopters that can lift several tons.[/size]

If they unload it the wrong way and it is grounded it could cause the ship to tip over.SIDEWINDER link wrote: Here's some more to the story. As I expected, the ship is full having come from China. I would hope, they would have the brains to unload it in such a way that it would not tip over like Fred Flintstone's car.
