Hello there,


I wanted to start a new thread on the state of Monas and Inez.


First and foremost,  I will not be commenting much in the threads except to state facts. Those of you who know me are welcome to call anytime for more information.  Peter , Inezs, and Anna,  monaselko will not be commenting much on this subject.  Further, I may temporarily suspend  monaselko from posting with that handle. 


As many of you know I am heartbroken and feel that all my awesome work has been wasted and thrown in the garbage can.  However,  we will get through this and there will be a lot of updates over the next 3-6 months.


GIRLS: 
All Monas and inez girls have been retained.  There will be changes and tour dates will be altered so please check out inez website.  It will be updated  today or tomorrow. And lineups posted.


Staff:  Mike, Anna, Tawni , and Asian Peter have also been retained.
Some may temporarily receive less hours but i will work hard to Find a way to make them all happy if I can.


The staff has been amazing through this and so helpful I could not have done it without them.  Each had helped in their own ways and it is very appreciated.  Anna has been amazing and all of you need to know that she is our golden child and I could not have gotten through this without her.


Ok on to the future,


Mona’s “Bar” will be open starting tomorrow.  I decided to close the bar today to get inez up and ready.
Mona’s bar will be a bar only.  Stay tuned we will have some updates and surprises here.  I will say no more about the future of Mona’s except elkomongerfest will continue as planned and we will be announcing details on this shortly.


Inez’s- Open as always. 
New hours 10a-3am or 4am or 24/7 tbd.
Girl may have shifts details forethcoming
6 girls should be working at any given time of day
Bar is fully stocked as well
Backdoor discrete entrance for those worried  about  bar being too full.

I'm sorry for all the bs that you all have had to go through, and I have much empathy for the ladies and employees. Yes, I do blame the wrong doer, but I also blame the prejudice in our society against LPIN. Hopefully, you'll not have that prejudicial lobby for the duration of the suspension.

Give Anna a big hug for me. She's a special lady for sure!

FYI... We have implemented random drug testing recently.  All bartenders, managers, girls, me, all have been tested and have passed.

Legal in the state but companies are free to choose which drugs to test for. In fact the act states “public or private employer from maintaining, enacting, and enforcing a workplace policy prohibiting or restricting actions or conduct otherwise permitted under … this act.” Using marijuana is not a protected class which employers can not discriminate against.

Personally I think as a society we should get to a point where we treat marijuana and alcohol the same at work. OK on your own time if it does not impact/impare your job.

Given how strict Elko was with Monas, and no to a medical or recreational dispensary in Elko, it may make sense to be strict with this to prevent Elko having any excuse or ammunition against them.
