These days you can still see many classic bands still playing tours, playing their greatest hits to new and old fans but when they’ve lost their founders or at least the members who were at their forefront for their hits are they still really the same band?
To me the Eagles are Glenn Fry and Don Henley
Journey Steve Perry and Neil Schon
Styx Dennis de young and Tommy Shaw
Led Zepplin Jimmy Page and Robert Plant
Would The Rolling Stones still be The Rolling Stones without Mic Jagger and Keith Richards?
Some of the ones mentioned above are still with their Bands, some still have one and some none. Are they still really the bands they are presenting themselves to be or now just glorified cover bands with a very thin tie if any to the Great Bands they were
For these reasons and the simple fact a lot of the guys can no longer sing (Have you seen/heard Ozzy lately?!?!) I’ve lost interest in seeing my old favorites in concert and having them butcher the songs I love

I still haven't gotten over Bill Wyman leaving the Stones and that was after their '89 tour. Quite a few "bands" pop up on the county fair circuit like Grand Funk, Three Dog Night, Foghat, etc. without the personnel that made you want to see them in the first place back in the day but people still have a good time 'cause, heck, the show's included in the price of admission to the park.

Queen was always one of my favorites and when Freddy Mercury died, I thought that would be the end of the band, since I didn't think anyone could ever replace him. Although, Queen with Adam Lambert is surprising good and they're currently playing at the Park MGM in Vegas.
