Interesting but I don't see any use of it in the field of fire suppression. We use thermal imagers to help see in the smoke. Thermal imagers have came a long ways over the first one I used over 20 years ago. We now have personal thermal imagers that is the size of you palm and very small ones that can be mounted to a helmet.
