BTW: I'm not as worried about covid from the utensils as E coli that could be on people's hands from not washing their hands after going to the restroom.. Picture this, you use the utensils that everyone else has touched and then you pick up a dinner roll to butter with your hands or fried chicken to eat with your hands. No thank you!

Clearly this has been an issue on cruise ships, which is why they've gone to servers on the buffet line. I haven't been to a buffet post COVID to know if the others have done that. I know some places do for the hot prepared foods, but put desserts out on separate plates.

You'd have the same issues with salad bars.

I've noticed that the indian restaurants around me haven't re-opened their buffets as of yet. I'm not sure if they've gone to just an entree based service, but we will see.

When everyone was talking about things would change didn't I say that humans would go back to the same habits as always. I mean people walk in and out of bathrooms without washing their hands. Basic hygiene! So I am not surprised that nothing has changed.

You are so right Rachel. I was just thinking about it one day as I washed my hands before leaving a casino restroom and saw people leaving the restroom without washing their hands to go back out and play the slots. I'm sure these same people also get in the buffet lines without ever washing their hands first.

A lot of people think germs are good for you. Probably when you are younger but when you are adult you have encountered most of the common stuff and I don't think you can build immunity from ecoli when someone wipes their ass and plays the slots or picks up the same utensils to scoop food off the buffet. Not to mention doors and who knows what else.

It's really because people are selfish and lazy. "Why wash my hands, I'm not sick?" kind of thinking.
