I thought about that but the lack of bones scattered on the ground below the tree made me think different. You only see the skulls in the picture. Where are the rest of the bones? If it's a cat, it's a big one! The Axis skull looks like it was deliberately placed there.

While they are both strong enough to haul their prey up into a tree, jaguars & mountain lions don't do that. Mountain lions feed immediately after a kill. Jaguars will drag their kills to a secluded area before eating.

The only big cat that eats their kills up in a tree are leopards.
