Why as a people do we pay to advertise for companies? I’ve thought this strange for a long time and got rekindled when I walked out of Golds Gym this morning. I pay a monthly fee to go there of course. But why would I want to wear a shirt they are selling that’s says “Golds”? Why do we buy clothing that says the companies name across the front? Shouldn’t they be paying us to advertise? At least give us the clothing for free?
Just one of those things that makes me wonder about us humans

A Lady can ask any price and the client can always walk. If you accept her offer it's on you so don't bitch about it!

I think a lot has to do with consumers who believe in brand loyalty. If they like a particular product brand or service they feel that it's cool to show the world what they like, so they purchase t-shirts and other branded merchandise.
I've worked for a few major consumer products companies and they all sold brand merchandise, but us employees use to get a lot of freebies ...branded t-shirts, hats, bags, etc from the companies marketing/sales groups. It's the same with the brothels too. Most of the houses sell merchandise with their logos, etc. which can serve as souvenirs as well as a form of advertising.
