Just out of curiosity... how does this work?
Are most working ladies only allowed (from their house) to attend if they have an "out date" arranged for this?

I think it's entirely up to brothel management if the ladies are currently "working" at their brothel. Some ladies have made sure that they are not working and are off of their house lineup so they can attend on their own, maybe taking a week or two off. Some ladies that were working have gone in groups and carpooled from their brothels, sometimes with management accompanying them, sometimes not. Dennis Hof often pushed the outdate thing to make more money, but even he bent his rules if he felt like it and let some ladies be off the floor for a few hours. Think about it, if the majority of the ladies working at Mustang and the 4 Mound House brothels wanted to attend the awards banquet, there might be a shortage of ladies working at their brothels on that Friday night between 4pm and 9pm if they were supposed to be in lineups and available at those times. Friday nights can get busy.
