I'm officially an American and take the oathe soon. Sometimes people ask if I am and I say yes, sometimes no. It's because I have been here a long time now and I felt like one. Now I can say it 100%!!!

I've noticed over the years that you are more patriotic than a lot of the natural born citizens that I've known in my lifetime.  I've often thought that it sometimes takes someone who becomes an American citizen to really appreciate all that it means. Again, welcome my fellow citizen.

Congratulations... Mrs became a citizen 10 years ago.  It was a really cool day. She waited until our 10 year anniversary to become a citizen

Only about 5% of US citizens travel overseas. Not counting business travel. So they don't understand that the rest of the world is poor and really messed up.

When I see kids and young people talking about carbon footprint I smh. No one outside of America gives a shit about that except west europe. Sometimes it really makes me sad to know a child is starving and I'm at a restaurant.

What really irks me is that if you talk about it they say there is less poverty in the world, almost as if they did that. I looked this up and found that President Bush helped Africa more than the guys after him. It takes years to change poverty. Sad that they don't appreciate what they have. I'm not political or support any party so don't go off about my Bush statement.

I don't know if I am patriotic or not. I just appreciate that I am fortunate enough be here.

Congratulations Rachel. I am proud of you. Having attended citizenship swearing in's while in the Navy, I get a little chocked up as I understand the hard work and time it takes to get to that point. But please keep that sexy accent.
