LPIN 2019 Awards Presentations
We'd like to thank voters for casting their LPIN 2019 Awards FINAL Round Ballots in record numbers!
79 valid ballots were cast in the final voting round which is a 5 year record high 74% voter participation. The 13 year voter participation average is 73%.
Awards Banquet hosts Little Richard, MrTShirt and firefighter had planned to offer reservations starting May 10, 2020, but our venue notified us yesterday that their banquet facility will be closed until at least November 2020. Therefore, banquet reservations cannot be confirmed until alternative arrangements have been made. However, it's uncertain if any restaurants will be able to offer a banquet hall during the Annual Reno Meeting from Wednesday July 15 through Sunday July 19, 2020. In addition, it's unknown at this time if LPIN Brothels will be open due to the continuing communicable disease crisis.
You can be assured that we'll notify you of the date, time and location of awards presentations as soon as we're able to confirm the specific details.
Thank you for your support,
LPIN Awards Committee

I’m told this thought has been floated before but could you combine the awards with the picnic?
Maybe talk to IB about it?

Yes, awards presentations at the picnic is a possibility, and Interested bystander & Sheri have approved the idea; however, awards presentations at the picnic is dependent upon the State of Nevada not cancelling the picnic area reservation.SixT9er link wrote: I’m told this thought has been floated before but could you combine the awards with the picnic?

IB hasn't posted his full meeting announcement on BrothelLife yet, but he did post this picnic notice:
I plan to signup for IB & Sheri's picnic because it's an enjoyable time, a relaxed atmosphere, and that's where the awards committee holds their annual meeting. The picnic is scheduled for Saturday July 18, 2020 starting at 10:00 am. Potential attendees must email ib1@nvbell.net for a headcount, and they'll receive directions to the location by email prior to the event. There is no charge for the picnic, so the hosts rely on donations to help cover expenses. I urge everyone who plans to attend the Annual Reno Meeting to signup for the picnic too.interested bystander link wrote: I figured it was time to bump this to the top again. Unless the Governor locks down the state through July all of the normal summer events, including the picnic, are still scheduled to be a go. Please e-mail me at ib1@nvbell.net to let me know if you plan to attend so we will have a headcount and I can provide information on location. I'll try to post the full meeting announcement some time next month when we know more about the covid ramifications.

People are all confused everywhere. Maybe it may still work out at the same location. . If not I’m sure we will be happy where ever we end up at.

I know. I always have the solution.
I'll host the banquet is a room just big enough for all the finalists and any other ladies.
Then later I'll post a report here on how great it was.

Are you enforcing the 26 inch distance protocol during your banquet?MrTShirt link wrote: I know. I always have the solution.

Businesses can't predict when they'll be allowed to reopen, because the politicians don't have a definite plan. They appear to be running on fear. They only allow essential businesses to operate hoping employees of non-essential business will stay home, but people have had enough of self-imposed quarantines. Many employees who are out of work can't pay their bills. Furthermore, the determination of an essential business is arguably unfairly discriminatory. People in my area aren't staying home anyway, and there are as many cars on the road as ever. A large percentage of shoppers are unprotected, and authorities are not forcing people to wear masks in public which should be a priority if they're concerned about spreading the disease.Vanityaffair link wrote: People are all confused everywhere. The manager at our reserved venue was adamant that they will not entertain banquets until November, and that may be because authorities haven't provided a definite date of when they'll be allowed to reopen for business. In addition, they may be afraid authorities will close them again if more cases of the disease are detected, so they're hesitant to offer banquet reservation contracts until the mass hysteria has subsided.
The awards banquet hosts are running out of time to advertise the banquet and collect payments; furthermore, it would be a major project to return that money if the banquet venue were closed again before July 17, 2020. It won't help for this year but a banquet venue has been reserved for Friday July 23, 2021, and the Annual Reno Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday July 21, 2021 through Sunday July 25, 2021; this will be the Silver Anniversary and I believe IB has special plans.
Hopefully, Nevada's parks will not be closed in July. At this point it seems to be the logical plan to hold awards presentations at IB's Picnic. Therefore, we urge everyone to signup for the Picnic on Saturday July 18, 2020 starting at 10:00 am. Please email ib1@nvbell.net so Interested bystander & Sheri can plan the Picnic.

FF, I think that's a great idea! I'll probably come even if the brothels remained closed just to hang out.

FF, as much as I hate to ask, have you guys considered just canceling this year's awards? Personally, I think it hurts both the awards and picnic by combining them, but I can see why it might be the best option.
So much up in the air as far as state parks being open or even the brothels by mid July. Even if both are, how do you get by guidelines limiting group size of 10 or less? Some LE could just come by and shut it down based on that alone. Just wondering if the committee has thought this all through.

The Annual Reno Meeting may be cancelled if brothels don't reopen, so any plans are academic right now.Slednx link wrote: FF, as much as I hate to ask, have you guys considered just canceling this year's awards? Interested bystander hasn't posted his annual summer events schedule, so apparently he's awaiting favorable news.
If the Annual Reno Meeting transpires, presenting awards at the picnic may be an option. However, that depends on whether the parks are open and a gathering limit is in force at that time.
If venues later decide they can provide banquet rooms we could possibly host a banquet, but there would undoubtedly be a gathering limit. Furthermore, we may not have enough time to take reservations.
We still have 70 days before our event, so we'll hope for the best.

If we can combine them we probably should and see if there is a limit to how many can gather. We have to give them out somehow. Maybe wait. I think the picnic is an option because it is just one year to do it and then probably go back to normal the next.Slednx link wrote: FF, as much as I hate to ask, have you guys considered just canceling this year's awards? Sounds like a plan FF! I'll stand by to stand by. I'm keeping my July plans super flexible. I might even make a run for the border and work on my tan! ;Dfirefighter link wrote: The Annual Reno Meeting may be cancelled if brothels don't reopen, so any plans are academic right now.

Yes, we should at least present the COY Award in July, because the 2019 COY winner can't be a nominee in the LPIN 2020 Awards contest. The picnic presentations is an option this year only, because we have a restaurant banquet hall reserved for LPIN 2020 Awards on Friday July 23, 2021. If we're not allowed to have a banquet or picnic gathering this coming July, we can deliver & present the awards directly to the COY, BOY & RBOY Brothels. If the Brothels haven't reopened and the Annual Reno Meeting is cancelled this year, we'll post the winners and present the awards at the July 23, 2021 awards banquet.Rachel Varga link wrote: If we can combine them we probably should and see if there is a limit to how many can gather. If the brothels have reopened I'll be in Reno between July 16 and July 19 at least.
I visited San Felipe, Baja, Mexico last June. It's 120 miles south of the U.S. border on the Sea of Cortez; the humidity was high and it was HOT! I didn't tan, but I had an appointment with Felix Rodriguez DDS for 6 caps.
