Nashville Bombing - Tidbits

I am lifting this quote from an email forum I am part of.
I deleted any identifying info.
[pre]By now, all’y’all have doubtlessly heard of the bombing in downtown Nashville. Faithful listeners
will doubtlessly recall that I lived about two years in Nashville... well, I lived I Antioch,
south-eastern-most suburb of Nashville. The bombing took place just about two blocks north of
Broadway on 2nd Street. I knew the area well. I say knew because the whole area flooded, ten feet
of water, in 2010. When they rebuilt is, they changed quite a bit in an effort to make it much
more of a tourist trap area. Anyway, the bomb was hidden in an old RV parked on 2nd Street.
Security cameras on several buildings photographed it and investigators took those photos and sent
them to Google. Software engineers at Google used an AI algorithm to search their Streetview
database, some 56 MILLION images. The algorithm found several hundred hits all over the country —
but just several hundred. And one was in Antioch, Tennessee — a fraction of a mile from where I
lived — with an uncanny similarity to the suspect RV. According to Streetview, it had been there
for years. When police went by, the RV was gone; neighbors said they noticed it missing a few days
ago. Using the Streetview evidence as probable cause, police searched that house today.
It looks as if private surveillance cameras, AI and, and the privately-owned Streetview database
may have given authorities their big break in this case. And less than 24 hours later.
Depending on what you think of this “brave new world we are rapidly living in, you may find this
fascinating, encouraging, or spooky.[/size] [/pre]
