Just back from Nevada

A good trip and the weather was good for the most part. Just a few things I found strange. One casino hotel was letting people walk in without any temperature check. They had free access to the whole casino and even the hotel but if you were staying there like I was, they checked your temperature at check in---go figure.
GSR has installed a device in their elevators where you have to swipe your room key card to make the elevator work to get up to your room. Yet someone can just enter the elevator and after someone else has already swiped their room card in the elevator and could use to elevator to go to any floor. Another go figure.

I got back from a motorcycle trip to the middle of nowhere Nevada last Thursday. Spent a night in a tent in Death Valley then on to Tonopah NV. where I stayed at the Mizpah Hotel. It's a great restored hotel from the glory days of that part of Nevada. They have a very good restaurant with a good selection of wines. The staff in the hotel wore masks, but most patrons didn't. Same in the casino next door.
Tonopah is about have between Vegas and Reno. If your driving its a good place to stop for the night. The Wild Cat brothel is about one hour away. I always stop in Tonopah on my way to Elko.

I was at the Mizpah several years ago and had dinner. Very good and the prices were reasonable. Yeah, Clown motel is a place to avoid. Tonopah and the surrounding area is an interesting place to visit. However, no more rural brothels in the area. I never stayed in Tonopah. I always stayed in Beatty or else Pahrump.

The Clown motel was sold a couple of years ago. I hear it has improved but I don't know for sure.
