I just heard about this. It’s real from what I can tell

I thought we'd met "Peter" @ Inez DD .... and he didn't look anything like that photo. 

Different "Peter".  This one works evenings at Mona's as bartender/manager.

Probably wouldn’t be a problem except it sounds like they found drugs in the house so who knows?

Luis and peter have worked so hard to build Mona’s. With always accommodating new ladies and mongers specials and cordinationg monger events. It would sad to see them destroyed over one bad apple that they were clueless about. I wish them the best and hope things work out for them. I will keep them in my prayers today. Hope things get resolved today.

I do think that all brothels, employees and clients need to be on their best behavior going forward. (Not that they aren't already).


Given the current atmosphere, the anti-brothel forces are likely to flag any slipup, no matter how trivial, and paint the industry with a broad negative brush. I would fully expect them to lobby against the reinstatement of the Elko license and argue, even statewide, for killer regulations (i.e., more paperwork, more testing, tough building standards) that would make it unreasonable to continue.

All I can say is that Pete really fucked up!  It doesn't matter if he was a nice guy or not, he should have known the potential consequences of his actions when he brought drugs into Mona's.

I really feel for the ladies and staff at Mona's and hope they are able to get though all of this and find other work, since 6 months is a long time.  There is also no guarantee that the city council will approve whatever new business plan that the owners present after the suspension and if it isn't approved, they will revoke their license.  I dunno, based on the attitudes of the city council, I have a bad feeling about this.
