The great news is that we prevailed at the County Commissioner's Meeting today and we are back n business (by a vote of 2-1) as of right this minute. We have ladies on the floor ready for you to get here to help them celebrate.
The "interesting" news is that the dissenting voter - Lorinda Wichman - is still on a mission to shut down ALL legal prostitution in Nye County. She announced she is planning to get outlawing legal prostitution for Nye County on the ballot.
Sooo.... it's not over and it's not just about Dennis Hof. She's going after ALL the brothels.
Her business number is 1-775-761-1626

Congratulations on getting open!
Hopefully this witch won’t get support for her vendetta

It will be interesting to see what the other two owners do. Keeping a low profile in the community won't help here.
(If Nye county bans the brothels, the Chicken Ranch and Sheris become worthless, along with LRV. The ACH, being attached to a diner and gas station, and on a main drag, may have some worth in an alternate business application.)

Sonja,
It's great that the Love Ranch is open again! Maybe Dennis Hof should sue for loss of revenue due to the closing of the brothel without proper cause. Building code violations are the responsibility of the Pahrump and/or NYE County building inspectors and not the NYE County Commissioner's Office, but it doesn't appear that there were any building problems. The local fire department fire inspector or State Fire Marshal would be the authorities responsible for enforcing smoke alarm installations, and not the NYE County Commissioner's Office; however, it's not a violation that would necessitate closing the business especially if smoke alarms had been ordered by the business owner.
The authorities have required that another NYE County brothel divulge their silent partners; it's been sixteen years but they haven't been forced to close yet.
It's fairly obvious that Lorinda Wichman is playing politics!
Is NYE County so rich that they can afford to close legal businesses and lose that tax base? The NYE County Commissioner's Office may prompt other businesses to relocate to areas where their business tax dollars are appreciated.
By the way Lorinda Wichman's wireless phone is listed as 1- 775-482-8198.

Speaking of awards, I wonder if this ignorant person might win the "Idjut of the Year" award? The fact that She hates the beauty of the brothels definitely means She needs voted out at the next possible opportunity (and She should leave Nevada).
