The preliminary round of COY, BOY and RBOY voting is over at the end of March.

66 registered voters have cast LPIN 22 Awards First Round ballots which is 60% voter participation.
However, there are still 45 voters who haven't cast their First Round ballots yet. 
The First Round ballot casting deadline is midnight 3/31 PDT. 

All registered voters that haven't cast ballots were sent email reminders. 
However, a few registered voters won't cast ballots until the Final Round which begins 4/4/18.

THERE IS JUST ONE WEEK REMAINING TO VOTE FOR THE 2017 COY, BOY, AND RBOY AWARDS, IN THE FIRST ROUND. CURRENTLY THERE HAVE BEEN 66 BALLOTS RECEIVED FROM A TOTAL OF 111 REGISTERED VOTERS.

3/31/18 at 1600 PDT update: Effective Saturday 3/31/18 there have been 70 valid ballots cast which is 63% voter participation in the LPIN 22 Awards Preliminary Voting Round.  There are only 8 hours remaining to cast Preliminary Voting Round ballots, since it ends tonight at midnight Saturday 3/31/18 PDT. 

41 registered voters have not cast their ballots yet; however, we estimate that approximately only 3 more voters may cast ballots in this round which will be 73 valid ballots for 66% voter participation.  The average Preliminary Round voter participation over the last 10 years not including this year is 66% so this year's voter participation will presumably be on par.

There are 27 voting days in the Preliminary voting round, so there's ample time to cast ballots.  A few voters wait until the last day, hour and minute to cast their ballots; however, that plan is risky because problems may arise that prohibits casting their ballots on time. 

The Preliminary Voting Round ends midnight 3/31/18 PDT and will not be extended for any reason.  Therefore, if voters wait until the last minute and can't cast their ballots because the Internet, LPIN Awards website, or HTML ballot are not accessible it's unfortunate but no allowances will be made; furthermore, those voters who are unable to cast their ballots at the last minute or submit their ballots past the deadline will lose their opportunity to vote.

The LPIN 22 Awards Committee wants every registered voter who desires to cast a ballot to accomplish that goal.  However, unforeseen problems may materialize that prevent registered voters from submitting their ballots before the deadline.  If an incorrect ballot is submitted close to the deadline a rejection reason will be noted on the Registered Voters who participated in LPIN 22 Awards.  However, a voter may not have sufficient time to resubmit a correct ballot.  Therefore, it's not recommended that registered voters wait until the last day to cast their ballots.

Registered voters: It's past 2130 hours PDT on 3/31/18, and there's less than 3 hours remaining to cast LPIN 22 Awards Preliminary Voting Round ballots.

70 ballots have been cast, but 41 registered voters haven't participated.

The LPIN 22 Awards COY, BOY & RBOY Finalists will be announced before noon on 4/1/18.
